Bat Coach Suggestion

Using the information you provided the Bat Coach, we suggest you use a  inch bat. Most  inch bats will range in weight from  to  ounces. The heavier bats usually produce more power behind each hit, where the lighter bats create faster bat speed to catch up with the faster pitchers. A  inch is our suggestion, however, if you are a bigger or stronger player in your age group you may want to go up an inch to a  inch bat if a larger size is available. If you are a smaller player for your age group, you may prefer to possibly move down an inch to a  inch to help generate more bat speed.

What weight of bat you're looking for?

The most popular weight for slow pitch softball bats sold weigh 28 ounces(35%). The second most popular weight is the 27 ounce, followed by 26 ounce, then 30 ounce. When deciding on a size, you can use the 28 ounce as a starting point. If you feel like you are average to above average strength the 28 ounce is your weight. If you feel you would like greater bat speed or a little more control of where your hits are going, you should select a lighter bat. Typically the 26-28 ounce bats are for the line drive/gap hitters. If you are a power hitter or a stronger player, the 30 ounce would be the bat of choice. Softball Bats greater than 30 ounces are for the strongest of players, or a great bat to use in practice.
