New for 2012! Year after year, DeMarini's commitment to innovation remains the same - to bring the best bats in the game to players at every skill level. As the DeMarini legend continues to grow in the world of slow pitch softball, you'll notice more and more players launching missiles with their new high-performing DeMarini bat. The newest "F" series slow pitch bat from DeMarini is the best yet. The F5 features a two-piece design with a composite handle and doublewall alloy barrel. The barrel is constructed from SC4 Alloy which is the strongest alloy DeMarini manufacturers. This structure controlled alloy maximizes the sweet spot with the strongest and thinnest aluminum walls on the market. The handle is made from DeMarini's C6 Composite. This wider composite weave maximizes handle performance with optimum flex. The handle is then wrapped with a DeMarini's famous Positack 2 Grip for a perfect feeling swing. The F5 is capped with an N2M End Cap that is scientifically tuned to absorb vibration while maximizing power. DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The F5 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Seems to have great pop on the hotter days where a composite may lack. I've used it two games in 80 degree weather, and I have 6 homeruns with it.
Cons: Like I said I've used it two games in 80 degree weather, however it has two dents in it already which I don't think should happen if it isn't cold out.

Pros: Good Bat for pop, I hit it 330 feet with this.
Cons: none

Will this bat be a close replacement for a Demarini F3? If not, can you please recommend a DeMarini bat that can be? Looking for a balanced bat, not end-loaded.
Asked by LC on Apr 27, 2012
The 2012 DeMarini F5: DXSF5 is a very close replacement of the old DeMarini F3. The DeMarini F5 is a two-piece hybrid design that gives you a very similar feel to the older model of the DeMarini F3. The DeMarini F5 will provide you with a balanced swing weight. I have an 11yr old girl in slow pitch. She is 5' and 90lbs. What Demarini bat do you suggest for her?
Asked by jenny on Apr 25, 2012
The 2012 DeMarini F5 is an adult softball bat. We recommend the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFP Fastpitch bat for an 11 year old girl.

Will this bat still be usable in the 2013 season? (Does it have the correct USSSA stamp on the taper?)
Asked by bri on Mar 27, 2012
This bat does NOT have the new USSSA stamp that is being required in 2013. This bat still has the old stamp on it and will not be legal for use in 2013 without the new stamp.

I have been hitting with a teammates Demarini F375 doublewall half-half DM1 Alloy 27/34. I can't find one of these to purchase. What bat would be comparable?
Asked by AJ on Jan 04, 2012
Yes, it would be very similar. They are both the 2 piece hybrid doublewall design.

Asked by Toonz on Sep 01, 2011

Does it Dent as easily as the F4?
Asked by eht23 on Aug 09, 2011
We have not noticed or heard of any issues with the DXSF5 denting easily. Our company has probably put about 200 + swings on a DXSF5 in our batting cage over the past few weeks and haven't had any issues so far.
