New for 2012! Establishing a bat as a household name in every aspect of baseball and softball is no easy task. From fastpitch softball to youth baseball, the Easton Stealth Speed has built such a phenomenal reputation that it's name speaks for itself. This year's Stealth Speed is no different with its patented two-piece full composite design with ConneXion technology. ConneXion allows for optimum feel at impact while maximizing energy transfer from the barrel to the ball. The composite material used in the barrel of the Stealth Speed has a fantastic reputation of its own. IMX Composite is a staple of Easton's arsenal as it optimizes the sweet spot for incredible performance. The Stealth Speed features a lower Moment of Inertia (M.O.I.) which means this bat has a lighter-feeling swing weight to help players generate faster swings and ultimately, more POWER! The ultra thin 29/32 inch CNT Composite handle is adorned with Easton's new Focus Flex handle technology that also increases the power of a player's swing. Wrapped around the handle is Easton's performance diamond grip that provides optimal tack and cushioned comfort. Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference! The Stealth Speed is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: monster pop. Hot out of wrapper
Cons: price

Pros: Terrific power, large sweet spot, cool looking.
Cons: Only durability is keeping this from a 5 star rating. I imagine with most girls it's fine, but if you have one that with great bat speed AND power, you may have problems. Have broken 2 in 2 months. Good warantee allows for 2 returns, though. Buying another one today as a matter of fact.

Ask QuestionWhat fastpitch softball bats would you recommended for a men's modified league (ASA)? I prefer Easton or Demarini in 34in. Thanks.
Asked by paul on Apr 28, 2012
The 2012 Easton Stealth Speed will be the heaviest Easton fastpitch bat. The 2012 DeMarini CF5 will be the heaviest DeMarini bat. These will be the best choices for a men's league.

I'm looking for a 17 oz 31'' bat for my 11 yr old daughter
Asked by carl on Mar 27, 2012
Unfortunately, there are no fastpitch bats in that size. Your closest option would be a 31 inch 18 ounce bat. Some recommendations are the DeMarinin Bustos, Louisville Slutter Zephyr and Worth Lithium Storm HyperLite.

What is the -9 stand for?
Asked by ez on Mar 25, 2012
The -9 stands for the length minus the weight. So if the bat is 30" a -9 is going to be 21 oz.

I buy the bats for my daughter and I am tired of spending 300 dollars for a composite bat to have it cracked in a year and a half she only has 1 year left of high school and travel ball left any suggestions
Asked by toots1 on Dec 18, 2011
The average life span of a composite bat is 1-2 seasons with normal use. If she plays competitive ball and high school ball. If she is getting a yr and a half out of it, she is actually doing well. Easton's warranty is 400 days. The manufacturer's offer the warranties in cases of breakage or cracking.
