Pros: Great pop and big sweet spot. It is hot out of wrapper (and I hate when you see that ina review but it's true) The ball really does fly off this bat and my 11 year old loves it.
Cons: It started showing spider webbing on barrel only after a few hits of BP. After a couple practices, the finish is starting to chip on barrel. Hasn't effected performance but afraid umpire will say we can't use in game beause of chipping and webbing. Remains to be seen. Daughter stil loves this bat.
New for 2012! Burn the competition and set your hitting on fire with the all-new Easton Synge! The Synge features a sleek new design with a blue accented black on black matte finish. With a lightweight length to weight ratio and a low Moment of Inertia (M.O.I) rating the Synge is easy to swing. This will allow for an increase in swing speed and ultimately more power for the player! The Synge features a one-piece construction made from Easton's high performing IMX Composite. The IMX Composite barrel optimizes the sweet spot of the Synge for maximum performance. Using Single System Technology that improves bat control and balance, the IMX barrel is seamless fused with the CNT Composite handle that provides the durable backbone and stiff feel of the Synge. This ultra thin 29/32 inch tapered handle is easy for players to get their hands around and provides optimal tack with a performance diamond grip. Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference! The Synge is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Great, Amazing Bat. Hits Hard, Lasts Long, Hits Balls Out Of This World. The Ball Will Pounce Off As If It Were A Trampoline.
Cons: It Does Chip But Not As Much As Everyone Is Saying It Is. It DOES NOT affect the performance. At All.

Pros: None
Cons: Every time granddaughter hit a ball paint would chip off the bat. Ump declared bat illegal because some of the chips were sharp and would cut the ball.

I cannot decide between the Easton Synge: FP11SG and the Mizuno Avalanche ($74.99). Can you tell me the main differences?
Asked by Greg on Feb 13, 2012
The Easton Synge will have a one piece composite frame while the Mizuno Avalanche will be a one piece all alloy. The Avalanche will be an ounce lighter than the Synge because it has a drop of -12.5 and the Synge has a drop of -11.5.

No reviews are posted yet so do you have any feedback on this bat and how it is performing?
Asked by Pops on Feb 05, 2012
All of the feedback we've heard on this bat has been very positive. The expanded sweetspot gives the bat great "pop" and the bat is very easy to swing. It also has been said to have great control and balance.
