Pros: The bat is absolutely sick as far as pop is concerned smoking line drives. Excellent energy transfer to the ball on sweet spot contact.
Cons: Rma'ed the reap 3 due to end cap issue that bat was insanely hot as well got the reap6 and it was just as good and it's holding up to team use well.
New for 2012! The newest model in the popular Reaper series is one of the hottest ASA slow pitch bats to ever hit the field! The REAP6 uses RIP-IT's patented Beyond Composite Technology (BCT) that feels and sounds like composite, but is guaranteed to outperform composite bats by at least 3%! The BCT system uses Advanced Tempered Ballistic Alloy in a bonded-layer system where layers are chemically fused together to create unparalleled strength and durability. Built from a single block of BCT ballistic aluminum, the construction of the Reaper makes it much more durable than hybrid, connection joint, or composite bats! BCT does not require a break-in period, so when the Reaper arrives on your doorstep it's ready to rock! The Reaper is slightly endloaded to give players an extra surge of momentum at the moment before impact. The grip on the Reaper is made from memory foam, similar to that found on high dollar mattresses. This allows players to get the most comfortable and customized grip ever available! This grip also dampens vibrations and eliminates sting, so the only thing to worry about when stepping up to the plate is how long the upcoming HR is going to be! RIP-IT: Fear the Reaper! The REAP6 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, ISA, NSA, ISF and other leagues. It is backed by RIP-IT's 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: Wonderful cushion grip. Produces some excellent line drives. Very lightweight with no vibrations. I see a homerun in the near future.
Cons: Go to a batting cage prior to your games, this bat takes a while to break in. Although it says ASA approved, check with your league because some have banned it.

Pros: Slight end load just as advertised. Nice sweet spot right out of wrapper with good pop. Still need to break in a lot, though.
Cons: The grip is a little too thick on the handle. I'm used to the thin Miken handles, so I replaced the stock grip w/ athletic tape.

Pros: Great bat, the whole team puts it at choice #1, come plate time.
Cons: About to ship it back to Rip-it, for a warranty replacement. After 100 hits, strange internal rattling, as if there is loose debris jumping around. Doesn't seem to affect performance, they just want to look it over.

Pros: Looks great, has plenty of pop right out of the box.
Cons: Very unforgiving. If you dont hit the sweet spot exactly it will let you know. I will be sending this bat back to Rip-IT

Pros: Rmas handeled well but I do not like rmaing 3 bats to get a good one maybe? had 4 of these including the last replacement. recieved 2 defective end caps and one rattle inside barrel 3 for returns so far.
Cons: Cant rma bats all season to get a good one. Quality is definitely suspect. will update on last bat recieved.

Bought a Black Reaper four plus years ago and have cracked it. Loved the bat. How does this REAP6SP compare? Have been told it doesn't have near the pop that my old one did.
Asked by joe on Jan 10, 2012
The 2012 RIP-IT Reaper ASA: REAP6SP Slow Pitch bat is a great ASA bat. I've heard a few customers say it isn't quite as hot as the old 2008 Reaper. I know the 2012 model is made from updated materials to give it more durability. RIP-IT claims it will have the same performance as previous years models.
