New for 2012! RIP-IT introduces the first fastpitch bat built for young power-hitters, the Reaper Light! This bat marks the first time RIP-IT has fused Beyond Composite Technology (BCT) into its single wall of Advanced Tempered Ballistic Alloy with a slight end load for power hitters! This creates an incredibly lightweight bat that will give younger power hitters an opportunity to fully realize their potential! BCT gives players faster swing speed, better control and maximum distance on EVERY SWING. "Every Swing" is emphasized because there is NO break-in period with the Reaper Light. You will get maximum performance from swing 1 to swing 10,000. The one-piece design of this bat allows for the maximum amount of energy transfer from the bat to the ball, adding power and distance to every single hit. The Reaper Light also has the best grip ever put on a fastpitch bat. Using a synthetic leather with plenty of tack, and wrapping it around memory foam, creates perfect feeling grip. It also has a raised ridge design to promote the proper mechanics and make it easy to control. When Performance Matters, Just RIP-IT! The Reaper Light is backed by a 30 day no questions asked performance guarantee and an exclusive 400 day manufacturer's warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Got it for our 15 year old. Only 1 game 1 at bat and 1 swing....drove it hard up the middle for a triple. Replaced the DeMarini Phenix with this one and she loves it. Much better swing speed and control.
Cons: We didn't get it sooner :)

Ask QuestionI'm on the fence whether or not to get this bat or a composite bat. My daughter is 11 and the size she uses is 31"/19 oz. Fairly strong hitter. Any thoughts?
Asked by Ice Mom on Mar 06, 2012
The difference between purchasing an alloy bat or a composite bat is going to be up to your personal preference. Alloy bats will typically out perform composite bats early on and composite bats will typically out perform alloys bats later on in the bat's life cycle Many players prefer the traditional sound of the ping and feel of the alloy bat, but composite bats are going to be very high performing as well. .

How does this bat compare to the Louisville Slugger Catalyst?
Asked by blondie on Mar 04, 2012
The 2012 RIP-IT Reaper Light: REAL1 Fastpitch bat will have a slightly more end loaded feel to it making it a good choice for stronger hitters and is an alloy bat. The 2012 Louisville Slugger TPS Catalyst: FP12C2 Fastpitch bat is going to have more of a balanced swing weight and is a composite bat. Both of these bats are going to be very durable and high quality bats. More information can be found on the Louisville Slugger Catalyst at http://www.justbats.com/product/2012-louisville-slugger-tps-catalyst--fp12c2-fastpitch/13635/

I am trying to compare sweetspot size between this bat and the 2012 Miken Freak: FPFX12 Fastpitch bats. I have heard Miken has smaller sweetspot size....just wanted to see the data.
Asked by heidi on Oct 17, 2011
The 2012 RIP-IT Reaper Light: REAL1 Fastpitch bat and the 2012 Miken Freak: FPFX12 Fastpitch bat will both have great sweet spots. The biggest difference between these two bats will be that the RIP-IT Reaper Light is an alloy bat and the Miken Freak is a composite bat. To compare the RIP-IT Reaper Light to the Miken Freak, you may use our "Compare Bats" tool. More information on the 2012 Miken Freak: FPFX12 can be found at http://www.justbats.com/product/miken-freak--fpfx12-fastpitch/13492/

Thanks for the reply. One last question: The graphics on the bat Do Not say ASA approved but your description says it is. No stamp could be a problem.
Asked by PhilRay on Oct 14, 2011
The 2012 RIP-IT Reaper Light: REAL1 Fastpitch bat does have the ASA stamp on it.

The 2012 RIP-IT Reaper Light: REAL1 Fastpitch bat does have the ASA stamp. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Hopefully, we will have a better image on the site within the next week that shows a better image of the ASA stamp. The stamp is partially visible in the main image of the bat. If you scroll over the image with your mouse, it will zoom in and you can see half of the ASA stamp towards the bottom of the image on the right. It will be on the side of the barrel that says, "Reaper Light".

Need new bat for my 14U daughter 5'4" 100lbs. Considering Reaper, Miken Halo or other "lite" bat. Need suggestions.
Asked by PhilRay on Oct 09, 2011
I like the 2012 RIP-IT Reaper Light: REAL1 Fastpitch a lot. It uses RIP-IT's Beyond Composite Technology (BCT), giving the player faster swing speed, better control, and maximum distance on every swing . The Reaper Light has a lot of pop to it and the alloy barrel is very durable.
