New for 2013! It's time to step your game up to the NeXT level. The Miken NXT Freak is the bat that's going to take you there. By combining the most advanced layering handle system on the market with Miken's new HBF Technology, the NXT Freak is clearly a cut above the competition. HBF, or Hyperbolic Barrel Flex, Technology allows the multi-layer walls of the NXT Freak to become "fully released" for hot out of the wrapper performance! The proprietary layering of these walls extends the barrel flex to produce a 20% larger sweetspot. Vortex Handle Technology also uses multiple layers, and harnesses the power of composite braids to distribute the load evenly and increase the bat's strength. This also helps all layers move seamlessly together for optimal flex and performance. The whole bat is made from Miken's classic R900 Composite that has proven year after year that it is capable of enduring grueling play and delivering unrivaled performance. Enhancing the NXT Freak's durability even further is Miken's proprietary Durashell Technology (DST). DST acts as a composite shield on the outer shell to maximize out of the wrapper performance and overall bat longevity. An Extreme X-Tack Grip finishes off the NXT Freak to give players the comfort and tack they would expect from a bat this phenomenal. Miken: We Don't Play the Game, We Dominate It! The NXT Freak is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: I have this bat and I only had 200 cuts on it .until it broke in half it broke where the barrel meets the handle.now I got to send it out for its warranty.im definetly not getting the same bat I also got the miken freak fx700 and its a beast.so im just going to get another one.
Cons: Not very good.unless it was just a defect.

Pros: The bat had decent pop out of the wrapper and has gotten better after 50 or 60 hits. I love the balanced feel. The sweet spot definitely seems larger. I'm looking forward to how it performs the more I break it in. This is my first Miken and based on my experience it won't be my last! Great bat so far!
Cons: None yet.

Cons: no cons so far, this bat has really changed my game

Ask QuestionI just started playing softball from baseball. I am a good enought hitter to hit to the outfield. Should I use a balanced bat or a end loaded bad for softball?
Asked by ROHDEDOGG on Apr 19, 2012
An end loaded bat is better suited for a player with lots of power. Most beginning players prefer a balanced bat like the 2013 Miken NXT Freak Balanced ASA.

This bat looks to have the new USSSA mark. Is it good for both ASA and USSSA play in 2013?
Asked by DADDEO on Apr 03, 2012
This bat is approved for ASA and USSSA play, and has both stamps indicating as such. These stamps will make the bat legal for play in 2012 and beyond!

What is the difference between the Balanced and the SuperMax?
Asked by SoDak on Mar 07, 2012
The Balanced Freak is a balanced bat, while the SuperMax is an end loaded bat. The end loaded feel is good for players with powerful swings to help generate more power, while balanced bats are helpful for those that may not have the strongest speed or like the feel of a balanced bat.
