New for 2013! It's time to step your game up to the NeXT level. The Miken NXT Freak is the bat that's going to take you there. By combining the most advanced layering handle system on the market with Miken's new HBF Technology, the NXT Freak is clearly a cut above the competition. HBF, or Hyperbolic Barrel Flex, Technology allows the multi-layer walls of the NXT Freak to become "fully released" for hot out of the wrapper performance! The proprietary layering of these walls extends the barrel flex to produce a 20% larger sweetspot. Vortex Handle Technology also uses multiple layers, and harnesses the power of composite braids to distribute the load evenly and increase the bat's strength. This also helps all layers move seamlessly together for optimal flex and performance. The whole bat is made from Miken's classic R900 Composite that has proven year after year that it is capable of enduring grueling play and delivering unrivaled performance. Enhancing the NXT Freak's durability even further is Miken's proprietary Durashell Technology (DST). DST acts as a composite shield on the outer shell to maximize out of the wrapper performance and overall bat longevity. An Extreme X-Tack Grip finishes off the NXT Freak to give players the comfort and tack they would expect from a bat this phenomenal. Miken: We Don't Play the Game, We Dominate It! The NXT Freak is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Ask QuestionIs necessary to break this bat in? If so how do you do it?
Asked by softball dad on Apr 07, 2012
The Miken FPNX12 does not require a break in period to reach its maximum performance level. As you will notice in the features this bat is constructed to be hot out of the wrapper.

Can this bat be used in cool weather less then 60 degrees?
Asked by pa ump on Mar 27, 2012
Since this bat is an all composite bat, I do not suggest using it in temperatures that are about 55 degrees or below. The cold weather tends to affect the balls as they become harder, making the barrel more prone to damaging.

Will it have the required stamps for 2013 play in various leagues that I have been reading about?
Asked by couf on Feb 27, 2012
Yes. The Miken FPNX12 has the new USSSA stamp that will be required in 2013. All bats with the new USSSA stamp show a picture and listed in the bat features.

Is this bat end loaded or is it balanced?
Asked by dwwilliams72 on Feb 15, 2012
This bat is going to have a more balanced swing weight. Instead of having an extended barrel for a larger sweet spot (which usually produces the end load feel), this bat uses multiple layers and composite braids to ensure the weight is distributed evenly.
