New for 2013! Always looking to take their softball bats to the next level, Miken proudly introduces the new Triad -10 fastpitch bat! The two-piece Triad defies Miken's conventional one-piece composite design, but is still made with the same high grade carbon fiber Miken's fans are used to. Triad is not only the name of the bat, but also the name of Miken's newest technology. Triad Technology revolutionizes bat construction by using triple pressure application to harness the thermal expansion of Mken's high grade aerospace carbon. The result is unparalleled durability and jaw-dropping performance! The handle of the Triad is made with Vortex Technology that uses the power of a braided reinforcement to increase the strength of the handle and optimize performance. Each braided layer distributes the load evenly, while all layers move seamlessly together for optimal flex and performance. The barrel of the Triad features an expanded sweetspot that maximizes barrel flex, and decreases vibration for an incredibly smooth swing. The Triad also has a low M.O.I. for added swing speed that will equal extra distance. As with all of this year's Miken fastpitch bats, the Triad is proudly made in the U.S.A.! Miken: Don't Play the Game, Dominate It! The Triad is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

How do you compare to the CF5?
Asked by Matt on Jan 10, 2013
The 2013 Miken Triad: FPTD10 Fastpitch bat will be very comparable to the 2013 DeMarini CF5. They both will be two-piece all composite designs. Both would need 100-200 swings of break-in using soft toss or a hitting tee. Both bats will have a balanced swing feel. The Triad will have an extended sweet spot and a lower MOI for faster swing speeds.

I noticed this bat is not on the current NCAA approved bat list, does that mean it is illegal to use in NCAA?
Asked by Softball on Jan 10, 2013
The 2013 Miken Triad: FPTD10 Fastpitch bat will have the ASA Certified stamp on the bat. To be certified at the college level your bat will need that ASA stamp. I would check with your coach or league official to see if this bat is OK. Another issue could be that this bat is a new 2013 model, so the list for approved bats may not be updated yet.

My daughter is starting her freshman year in college. She has used the Miken NRG and Miken Rain for the last five years. How does this bat differ from hers and would she be comfortable switching now?
Asked by Jenna's Dad on Jan 08, 2013
The 2013 Miken Triad: FPTD10 is a two-piece bat that will offer more flex than the NRG or Rain which were one-piece bats. The 2013 Miken Triad: FPTD10 has a light swing weight that will provide for an easy transition no matter what she has used in the past.
