New for 2014! The design that has shocked baseball and softball with its cutting edge technology is back and better than ever! The Z-2000 employs S1iD Technology that allows the barrel to flex to its maximum allowable performance level from SWING 1. Two inner discs are positioned inside the barrel at the sweet spot to stop the barrel from from flexing past the legal limit. For players, this means they really do get MAXIMUM performance allowable and a larger performing sweet spot. Louisville Slugger uses their high quality Pure 360 Composite on the Z-2000. This new thinner high-strength and lightweight graphite fiber blend allows for reduced wall thickness, creating better performance while maintaining durability. The thinner fibers have allowed Louisville Slugger to use more layers in the barrel for added strength, but with an overall wall thickness that is thinner. The iST barrel to handle connection gives players maximum performance, even on inside hits. With an end-loaded swing weight, the Z-2000 is built for performance. For added comfort, the Z-2000 features 7/8" standard handle with a synthetic grip. Louisville Slugger: Be the Best. Or Swing the Rest. The Z-2000 features the new ASA stamp and is approved for play in ASA, , and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat is hot very smooth and big sweet spot! Great great bat
by Steve J. - Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Seems more durable than the last Z. Getting hotter the more I swing it.
Cons: Not as hot out the wrapper as the previous models but its getting there...
by J.T - Aug 24, 2013
Pros: This bat is hot!
Cons: The grip, but that's a personal opinion.
by To cool to try - Sep 04, 2013
Pros: bat has great control, pop and sound. ball flies off right out of the wrapper. as good maybe better than the 2013 model
by andy - Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Break in is quick. Only 175 hits and already clearing fences. Best feeling endloaded bat I've hit yet. This is the first oem grip I like that actually holds up.
Cons: Bat feels comparable in weight to my other 28 oz endloads but this one is a 27oz. So a little heavier than expected.
by Rob33 - Sep 17, 2013
Pros: good for line drives, great if you use 52/300 balls, gave it 4 stars
Cons: not as hot out of the wrapper as the 2013 z2000 model
by Tom - Sep 18, 2013
Pros: I have had my new bat for several weeks. I like the look and feel, but not impressed with result. In fairness, I want to break it in more before passing judgement.
Cons: Does not have the pop or unique sound if my Z1000. I bought a 26 oz., but it feels heavier, more like a 28oz. Ball does not rocket off the bat like my 1000.
by sauceman40 - Oct 01, 2013
Pros: This bat has a lighter feel than expected. I felt like this is more of a base hitters bat versus a power hiters bat. Had some good solid line drives and all hits felt good.
Cons: Didnt feel as this bat provided any extra distance to the balls hit.
by greg - Oct 19, 2013
Pros: That it is newer than my Z-1000 not hot right out of the wrapper.
Cons: Not hot right right of the wrapper. In time, should be a great bat. Still too early to tell.

Do they make dual stamped bats for these?
Asked by zach on Apr 21, 2014
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-2000 End Load ASA (SBZ214-AE Slow Pitch) is a bat certified for play in ASA only. With the Z-2000 line, the bats will either be stamped for ASA or USSSA certification. There will not be a bat stamped with both certifications.

My league has just switched over to the Clincher Gold for safety reasons. Will this bat be great for this type of ball?
Asked by outlaw on Apr 09, 2014
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-2000 End Load ASA (SBZ214-AE Slow Pitch) would not be good for the Clincher Gold balls. Those balls can be more dense and heavier compared to the .52 core balls the bat is made to hit. You would risk damaging the bat using it in your league.

What is the difference between Louisville Z-2000 and Z-3000?
Asked by al on Apr 02, 2014
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-2000 End Load ASA (SBZ214-AE) and the 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-3000 End Load ASA (SBZ314-AE) both use the same Pure 360 composite materials. The Z-3000 uses a new three piece design that helps reduce vibration and adds durability.

I currently swing the balanced z2000. I was considering the end load. Is the sweet spot very small? Do you think I would get more distance with the end load? I get great distance with the balanced.
Asked by KL on Feb 14, 2014
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-2000 End Load ASA: SBZ214-AE Slow Pitch is going to be durable and have a great sweet spot. End-loaded bats typically work best for power hitters because the end of the barrel is heavier and more momentum is needed to generate bat speed. However, this bat will also be able to also give you great distance.

Do they make a 2014 Z-2000 that is end loaded and is approved for ASA and USSSA?
Asked by cody on Aug 26, 2013
Unfortunately, they do not. The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z-2000 End Load ASA: SBZ214-AE Slow Pitch is only approved for ASA and ISF while the SBZ214-UE is the USSSA model. There will not be a 2014 version that carries both ASA and USSSA stamps.
