Pros: I got asked to play after about 8 years of not playing. Friend suggested the PSYCHO. Right out of the wrapper was hitting 320+ foot bombs into about a 10 mph wind. Never thought I would hit like I used to.
by VegasHRHitter - May 09, 2013
Pros: Bat feels great out of the wrapper. Grip seems to be better constructed than the new DC-41 (I have that as well). Ridiculously HOT out of the wrapper and has great feel off the ball.
by the ONE - Apr 30, 2013
Pros: Best bat I have swung. It's only getting better. It does take a little while to get use to if your not use to swinging an end-loaded bat or composite, but I have no complaints at all.
by Jay Kube - May 19, 2013
Pros: Pretty much what everyone else has been saying! On after about 30-40 cuts I was dropping over 300 ft. bombs! Great purchase and would recommend buying it.
Cons: Haven't seen any yet, just hope the durability is as good as its pop!
by Phil - May 22, 2013
Pros: Sweet bat from the get go. Lots of pop
Cons: Finish is trashed after 10 games. Though, everybody wanted to use it
by fbomb - May 09, 2013
Pros: hot out of the wrapper great bat! from the first hit i was sold.
by Cyco 666 - May 10, 2013
Pros: First bat took about 100 hits then a noticable differance. got second bat it was hot out of wrapper. first hit went 300' love how bat feels but......
Cons: Both my bats failed compression test wher I play.Sent both back to Miken so far got 1REvex in exchange.waiting for 2nd. wanted to get another psycho but worried they will fail tester.
by sky - May 22, 2013
Pros: great bat 2 home runs first game
by Marsh68 - Jun 02, 2013
Pros: Unreal pop. Larger sweet spot compared to older Psychos. Distance is amazing. You'll love it!
Cons: None so far..
by T Man - Jun 02, 2013
Pros: First pitch, warning track, next pitch yard!!! No lie, nice bat!
Cons: Too new to tell!
by Matt W - Jun 04, 2013
Pros: I have about 30 or so swings and this bat has the biggest sweet spot of any bat I've used. I am not even close to calling myself a home run hitter. Last weekend I tried to hit a gap and the ball went out with ease out of a 315 ft. field. Big sweet spots also helps with punching balls through 5-6 or 4-3 holes.
Cons: Nothing other than I have seen a lot of bats being sold at tourneys with warranty for well under the internet price.
by 2o4 Canadian - Jun 12, 2013
Pros: POP! and lots of it, my team was hesitant to try a NEW bat because it hasn't been broken in, my first bat I hit a homer, now its being used and gettin broken in, sweet spot isn't that big but IF you hit the sweet spot it's gone. Still breaking in, but I know this bat will get even better. Team is starting to love it!
Cons: Don't hit it right, its pretty dead.
by Garrett - Jun 22, 2013
Pros: This bat is the best bat I've ever used. It took about a game to break-in and then after that it's just been jack city. We're a team of 20 year old's and we have teams literally come up to us and tell us how hard we hit the ball. This bat has lived up to everything I thought it would. We may even be buying another one just in case. The sweet spot on this bat is huge. If you can hit with this then you need to try another sport.
Cons: The white handle wasn't white after two games.
by The Luke - Jun 25, 2013
Pros: LOVE IT!! Played for first time with it last night. Smoking balls yard straight out of wrapper. The ball jumps off this bat with ease.
Cons: Slight paint chipping, white grip is suspect.
by payaso - Jun 25, 2013
Pros: bat is awesome out of the wrapper , im just an average ball player who can go gates if i wanted and thats what i look for in a bat , my team has one bat n this is it it has taken over a 1000 hits n keeps getting better.Like i said the whole team loves it
by Dave-o - Jun 30, 2013
Pros: Really good pop compared to other USSSA bats. Just played a tourney and this bat was as good or better than any other bat there.
Cons: After about 50 swings the inner sleeve started to slide out of the barrel. Durability might be an issue.
by All-Day - Jul 04, 2013
Pros: Bat is super hot right out of the wrapper. Loved the first Izzy model. Everyone on my team loves to use it.
Cons: Nothing its perfect!!! Make more of them
by Dude - Jul 06, 2013
Pros: Amazing power.
Cons: Bat broke after 2 months. Sent it in for the warranty a received a new one with in 10 days.
by Robbo - Jul 09, 2013
Pros: Straight fire out of the wrapper, love the end load. Go down 2oz from a balance bat, eg. if you swing 28oz balanced go to 26oz in Supermax.
Cons: We'll see for durability as time goes on with the new technology.
by Kmons77 - Jul 17, 2013
Pros: First up at bat with this bat and i hit a bomb! second at bat i hit to the fence. i'm more of a base hitter and i never aim to hit bombs but the ball came off of this bat really hot! i would highly recommend this bat!
Cons: None at all!
by bruce - Jul 19, 2013
Pros: its nasty right out of the wrapper.
Cons: not a fan of the grip. but took it off and tapped it up and it nice now.
by Go yard - Jul 21, 2013
Pros: This bat is for real. The best bat I have ever swung. This bat is even hotter than my "illegal" bats, and it's stock!
Cons: I only have one.
by Dallas - Aug 01, 2013
Pros: The beat bat I have ever swung, by far. On the 3rd hit, had a long home run. Using a 27oz, usually use a 28oz Miken Freak NXT (which was my favorite for two years, now de-throned), dropped one oz due to the 1oz endload. I'm not a great player or hit constant home runs. My team LOVES this bat!
Cons: Just take this section out for this bat...
by Chris - Aug 02, 2013
Pros: This bat is amazing, everyone that hit the bat loved it
Cons: Hits solo shots when not trying to hit homers guys started hitting other bats so it wouldn't waste'em in 3 HR league
by Russlut - Aug 04, 2013
Pros: First at bat drove a home run, but it was foul. I'm not considered a long ball hitter but this bat will make you one.
Cons: None yet.
by Matt Chateain - Sep 04, 2013
Pros: Great feel right out of the wrapper. Took a little bit of time to completely break it in, but now I am smoking serious dingers in both strong and weak side leagues. Miken nailed it with this bat, just fantastic!
by Mike - Sep 14, 2013
Pros: Nice graphics, nice pop after break-in, great feel.
Cons: None. All of these reviews saying hot out of the wrapper are silly. Bat definitely needs to be broken-in. Gets super hot after about 100 swings.
by Nick - Sep 25, 2013
Pros: buy this bat!! will be the best thing you have done for your game. about 50 swings and 20 bombs. no break in period needed. unwrap and enjoy.
Cons: absolutely none. hope its durable
by DJB - Sep 29, 2013
Pros: BAT IS HOTTER THEN MY SHAVED 2011 PSYCHO
by no name - Oct 07, 2013
Pros: Nice pop, good feel, just ordered another.
Cons: Takes a few swings to break-in right but still hot and gets hotter the more you swing it.
by Jonathan el capitan - Nov 05, 2013
Pros: BAT IS HOT RIGHT OFF THE WRAPER. IT GETS EVEN BETTER ONCE IT BREAKES IN. IM NOT A POWER HITTER BUT DEFENETLY CHANGED THAT.
Cons: I bought a 27 ounce and feels like a 30 ounce. Food for thought if your buying one. I belive is do to the heavy end load it has.
by David - Jan 05, 2014
Pros: Took BP today with a teammates Psycho that had about 300-400 hits on it. I'm 6'2 / 220lbs and was crushing them out of a baseball park with a couple feet to spare. A couple over the 375' marker in right center but most of them went over the right field wall 325'-355'. Very impressed. Will be purchasing one shortly, maybe two.
Cons: Miss the sweet spot and your lining out softly to the 2nd baseman. Granted I was trying to go yard but still... Lol
by mike - Jan 26, 2014
Pros: bat is great out the wrapper hitting 260+ ive never hit a homerun in the last two games ive used this bat i hit two so far.
Cons: maybe 300-350 swings on it and the end load is rattling and im getting spider cracks
by RainbowXplosion - Feb 16, 2014
Pros: The ball flies off this bat. Very short break in period. I never had an easier time getting the ball over the fence. I highly recommend this bat to anyone. Easily the best value.
Cons: White grip gets dirty quick. Other than that nothing.
by Bill Bennett - Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Hits great!
Cons: Bought two of these bats after own a previous two for about 7 years with no problems. With the new ones the top popped off in a matter of 4 weeks and we lost our warrantee bc they sent us a new one. We used the new one and after about 4 weeks of play it cracked like a candy cane motion going down the bat along with the other new one we had. So now we have no more warrantee and only one bat.
by Kevin - Mar 02, 2014
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper
Cons: I had purchased 2 of these bats, a 26oz and a 27oz for my team. After about 3 weekends of 4 games, the top popped off of one of the bats (manufacturer defect). They claimed they could not fix the bat and sent us a new one and said we no longer have a 1 year guarantee. Remember this is because of their defect. We have had the new one for a couple months now and the bat is cracking in lines how a candy cane looks. This is the 27oz bat. The 26oz bat still has a guarantee, it is beginning to crack the same way. Now the reason i know this should not be happening is because we had purchased 2 more of these bats about 8 years ago. One broke at the beginning of this season, and the other still hits great. So we had a solid 8 years out of these bats. I guess they were too reliable and that's why they are no good any more. These new bats did hit well but i am sorry miken, we do not have the money to buy new bats every season, you need to work on the reliability issue of this model or you are goi
by Jonathan Riner - Mar 03, 2014
Pros: the Miken psycho is a great durable firm bat with the proper swing you have a hot bat straight out of the box almost
Cons: the bat is perfect for me the only bad thing is i wish it would knock the ball out of the park more often
by Bigg Steve - Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Right out of the wrapper this bat is hot! Just got back into league play after several years off. Looked up bats bought this bat and only look in the sky now to see where the ball was hit. Amazing sweet spot for this bat. Will be buying more for future play. Totally recommend!
Cons: Not as of Yet!
by Josh - Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Feels great, swings great, lots of pop right out of the wrapper. It's a dream of a bat.
Cons: It busted on me in a tournament after having it for maybe two months. hope the newer models can last a little longer.
by Derek - Mar 25, 2013
Pros: great pop out of the wrapper. used it for the first time in a tournament out of the wrapper and i was 14-20 with 6 hrs. bat hit great line drives and 2 of the hr's were miss hit and still carried 300+ ft. if you are a miken fan this is a must have in your bag.
Cons: cant find any yet.
by Nizzle - Apr 09, 2013
Pros: Great feel right outta the box! I have the 27 oz. About 50 hits and I was putting them over the 315' sign off of my batting tee! I am not a big guy either. 5'7" 170 lbs. Get this bat now while no one else has it!
Cons: Nothing yet to report.
by Big Mac - Apr 09, 2013
Pros: This bat is the real deal and will help put Miken back on top in terms of USSSA products. Great pop right away and only gets better. if you can't hit bombs with this bat then you need to hit the gym or somehow get some faster bat speed going.
by Mullins 24 - Apr 10, 2013
Pros: absolutely filthy...after 40 swings this bat is dropping serious bombs(with hot dots). Can't wait to swing it with stadium ZNs
Cons: hope the life span is as long as the og psycho
by GROWN Man - Apr 11, 2013
Pros: hot bat out of the wrapper
Cons: white batting grip gets dirty fast
by willie - May 07, 2013
Pros: This is an extremely hot bat. it reminds me of the first super freak max load. The black one.
Cons: And just like the Super Freak your gonna get only 150-200 cuts on it before it busts.
by MS Awareness Man - May 11, 2013
Pros: The best ever. All I swing are Miken Psycho's. I have the original all the way up to this one they never let me down. Keep on keeping on.
by Batboy - May 14, 2013
Pros: Hits great right out of the wrapper! Everyone loves the way this bat hits. Just have to make sure to find the sweet spot.
Cons: None yet
by Anonymous - May 16, 2013
Pros: This is a great bat for power hitters, the end load is perfect... Game ready out of the wrapper.
Cons: I've had two and they both broke after about 30 swings(reasoning behind only giving 3 stars). BTW miken has great customer service.
by The New York Bandits - May 18, 2013
Pros: This bat has an awesome sweet spot with a great look and feel. From the minute the team unwrapped it we've been hitting balls quite the distance. You can really feel the maxload on this bat. The team likes it, so much we bought a 26 oz. and 30 oz. We buy our team bats from Justbats.com signing off The New York Bandits.
Cons: None as of yet.
by denny crine fan - Apr 05, 2013
Pros: The hottest bat i have ever swung straight out of the wrapper! First ball I hit was a 315 foot bomb.
by chitown9 - May 27, 2013
Pros: Bat broke after only 3 months of hitting with it.
by Big Daddy Florida - Apr 24, 2013
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper - hit BP with 27 home runs out of 30 swings - average distance of 375'
Cons: Aren't enough of them!
by BDZ MD 20 - Jun 18, 2013
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Its not half as good as the real PSYCHO...... Not impressed at all
by Customer - Apr 04, 2013
Pros: This bat is all hype, do not buy it. Swings like a tank. Not responsive. A cheaper Denny Crine model that does not compare to the DC 41.
What do you think about the 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: SPIZMU Slow Pitch?

Will this bat 44 COR, mid compression balls well? And if not, what bat would you recommend instead?
Asked by daddyjojo on Feb 11, 2014
This 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: (SPIZMU) Slow Pitch bat features the newest USSSA BPF 1.20 "thumbprint" stamp and is designed to hit the newer, low compression softballs (275 or 300 Compression). Newer bats will hit the .44 COR, 375/400 Compression softballs very well, but their durability will be compromised. All USSSA and NSA leagues should be moving toward using the new Classic M or Classic M Plus softballs that this bat is designed for.

If you are using the Miken Ultra II Maxload Senior Softball bat the 34" 30 oz. 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: SPIZMU Slow Pitch would be the correct size. If you are using the balanced version of the Miken Ultra II we recommend using a 34" 28 oz.

How will this bat do with .44 core 400 compression balls?
Asked by Christianplayer on Jul 02, 2013
The 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: SPIZMU Slow Pitch bat is designed to hit the lower compression USSSA softballs (325 and 275 Compression). This bat, and others that feature the new "thumbprint" USSSA stamp, will hit those 400 Compression softballs extremely well; but their durability will decrease greatly.

I currently swing the 27 oz. NXT Maxload. How does the Psycho compare to the NXT Maxload? Would you suggest sticking with the 27 oz. or drop to a 26 oz.? What new Miken is comparable the the NXT?
Asked by Jamo on May 21, 2013
The 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: SPIZMU Slow Pitch bat is very comparable to the NXT Maxload model. Both bats are one-piece composites that feature the Maxload end load. If you are interested in increasing bat speed, you could consider the lighter model. But you should try to go with the heaviest bat that you can swing quickly/efficiently for maximum performance.

I am finally shopping for a new bat and I have had more than success with Miken, so I am sticking to the brand. I had a 27oz Miken Freak DST Balanced (2010) and had great success with it for 2 years, but since then I have put on 25 pounds at the gym, so I am wanting to try out the end loaded bats, and wanted to know if going with a 26oz would give me the feel of a 27oz balanced swing speed?
Asked by B-Jacks on Apr 02, 2013
The 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSSA: SPIZMU Slow Pitch bat features a supermax endload weighting. A 26 oz. model of this bat may feel more like a 28 oz. model that is well balanced.
