We are proud to introduce the Jeff Hall Advanced Players Edition First Degree Slow Pitch Bat by BASS. In Slow Pitch, the term "Player's Model" is often thrown around with no performance standard to back it up. BASS has gone the extra mile with the Jeff Hall Player's Model to ensure every player from the Rec level to the Majors is swinging a top of the line piece of equipment. The Jeff Hall First Degree: JH13 is constructed using a new state of the art X-2 Composite. With a quick break in period, matched by none, and a 12" Extended TRAC Barrel you will see why the First Degree has become the choice bat of many professional players. Deep fly balls will turn in to fence clearing home runs in no time with the First Degree on your side. The one-piece all composite design provides more than enough pop with every swing. The ¾ endload weight distribution is used to increase bat head speed and provide optimal performance at the point of contact. KOKA Technology is used in the production of every Bass bat to ensure quality and durability. The M-U-P Power Technology guarantees this bat is without a doubt THE HOTTEST USSSA slow pitch softball bat on the market today. If you even consider stepping in to the box with other than the Jeff Hall First Degree, you will be selling yourself short. Bass Bats—The Time is Now. Pros: when you hit the ball on the sweetspot the ball flies far.
Cons: if you miss the sweetspot any then the bat is not forgiving like other bass bats I have hit.
by lurch - Jul 08, 2010
Pros: little break in period. After about 200 swings on this bat it really started to open up and the ball comes off hot. The grip has a nice feel to it and the overall looks of the bat are A+.Sound of the ball off this bat is unique.
Cons: none to date. Will update with any in the future.

by king kong - Jun 23, 2010
Pros: this is the best bat I have ever used. The sweet spot is huge. All you have to do is get the bat on the ball and watch it fly......HOMERUN!!!
Cons: I'm not a huge fan of the looks of this bat..but who cares how it looks as long as it hit hard
by iceman - Sep 04, 2010
Pros: this bat is crazy hot takes a little break in time hottest legal bat ive ever used took thirty cuts and hit twelve bombs no more miken for me
Cons: none
by Caught Looking - Sep 11, 2010
Pros: Crazyyy battt! Hottest legal bat I have ever swung! First few swings will hurt the hands but after one night of batting practice it broke in nice!
Cons: The only con was that everyone thought I altered/ doctored the bat and I heard it for a full tourney

Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. Great power. Nice feel.
Cons: Paint started to chip after 150 swings
by oohrahcat - Mar 11, 2011
Pros: Bat is very hot out of the wrapper.
Cons: The bat broke after 50-100 swings bought it in oct broke in feb, 4 months. Bass customer service accused me of altering the bat and sent me a silver bat in return instead of white, stating that the bat did not have any defects.Nowhere that I could find is there a description of their return policy. Will never buy from them again.
by DirtyDawg - Sep 14, 2010
Pros: This bat has a swing weight that is like none other that I have ever used. This allows me to feel like I can control the bat much better and is helping me hit the ball anywhere I want it to go.
Cons: Everyone else wants to use it.
by RRJ - Feb 11, 2011
Pros: if you hit the ball with the end of the sweetspot, the ball flies.
Cons: Got mine in Oct. 2010 and the bat is still very stiff even after about 400 cuts on it. Sweet spot not as big as advertised.
by trustedopinion20 - Feb 17, 2011
Pros: this bat is stupid hott! I would compare it to a shaved bat.Love the feel and how the ball jumps off of it. My teammates were "wowed" at how much pop it had. Hottest bat ive taken out of the wrapper and I am an every weekend and league player.
Cons: Durability.. Stress cracks immediately. Havent even put 150 swings on it yet and its already chipped and will be sending it back. Hope the replacement is just as good. I will only use it games.
by Maverick347 - Apr 06, 2011
Pros: Not a bad bat, hyped up alot. Wasnt impressed!
Cons: I bought this bat about a month ago. Me and a couple guys on my team went out and swung the bat about 40 to 50 times and it cracked. I then was sent the grey bat back AFTER paying for shipping there AND back. Basically I spent 340 dollars then a week last got a 200 dollar bat. Sweeeet!!
by ISAO 6702 - Apr 07, 2011
Pros: Great but very different bat. Sound is like no other, feel at 1st was real stiff. Took about 50-100 cuts before it really started to open up and the sound started changing. Almost like the bat sound like it was shaved. Pretty impressed for my 1st Bass Bat.
Cons: Bat is sensitive stress marks showed real fast, starting to chip and only have about 200 hits on it.
by 160lbBeast SC - Apr 22, 2011
Pros: This bat is insane! I have had it for almost a year now, and it still hits great. A lot of companys claim to have out of the wrapper performance and fail but this bat produces! I have hit eastons, worths, demarinis, and mikens and this bat out percorms them all! I will only buy bass from now on.
Cons: Yes the paint chips, it DOES NOT effect the performace at ALL people! Get over it!
by geebee - Nov 08, 2011
Pros: Bat was extrememly hot out of the wrapper and I personally love the feel of the bat. Everyone inquires what I am swinging and no one else in the area swings one
Cons: Developed a rattle after 50 cuts, but bat continued to perform well. First game of fall tournament (68 degrees), bat cracked on first at bat on a 400 ft. HR, hitting a Thunder ZN. Have shipped back to Bass, and I pray I get the same type bat returned. Worried after reading the return issues of others

Pros: good bat great for the long ball !!! you can leave the rapper on and its still hott !!!!!!
Cons: if you have anykind of bat speed or power you might want to have and extra bat in your bag !!! if you play more than 5 games a week this bat will not hold up !!!!
by Anonymous - Jul 06, 2011
Pros: hot out of the wrapper.super hard hitting bat
Cons: crack in 8 months and paint chipped.let you know on next one
by Greg - Aug 24, 2011
Pros: The truth about this bat: Give it time; I almost let this bat become a team bat until it finally began to open open up. Swings ultra balance, so all the mashers out there might consider going up an oz. Balls will fly when hit just right. Starting to drop Longhaul style bombs with this bat. Feels like fiberglass, like a Catalyst or Reebok.
Cons: If you're used to swinging Mikens or Worths, this bat will take some getting used to. Sounds like it want to break (that's the fiberglass feeling you gotta get used to). Feels brittle. Once you've gotten used to the feel, it messes with your feelings for other bats; now you're not used to swinging those bats. If your're going to commit, then commit all the way with Bass.

Ask QuestionIve heard great things and not so great things. If u miss the sweet spot does it make that big of a difference as wat some ppl are saying? Also ive heard that this bat is only good for about 700 to 800 swings?
Asked by Rylanw on Feb 01, 2011
This is one of our more popular bats right now. I don't know a lot about this bat, as I have never swung it. But, based on all of the reviews, most of our customers are satisfied with it. It does come with a One Year Warranty, so if anything did happen to it you'd be covered.

What is the difference between this bat and the BJH1?
Asked by Scooter on Sep 09, 2010
There is no difference in performance between the JH13 and the BJH1. The BJH1 is a limited edition being they only made 200 of these models. So as you can see by the pictures the only difference is the actual color of these bats.
