Pros: My 12 year old daughter has just stepped up from an alloy to a composite bat. First game she hit two home runs at two times to bat. No break in period and I cannot believe the distance she is now getting. Bat looks great, sounds great and has every other parent asking where we got it from. All in all a great bat that has improved her batting out off site
Cons: Cost maybe a bit of a problem and availability out side of the US.
Lisa Fernandez is without a doubt a legend in fastpitch softball. Lisa has joined Combat with the intent of developing nothing less than the premier softball bat made to date. The new Lisa Fernandez ComBat is the hottest bat allowed under the new 98 MPH ABI limit. With very long barrel lengths, the longest in any multi-wall bat yet, this bat is sure to become a legend! Lisa's bat has everyone talking. The LFFP1 incorporates Variable Stiffness Technology which allows for lower barrel wall stiffness on both sides of the normal sweetspot, resulting in an enlarged sweet hitting area. Also found only in the LFFP1 is Blended Fiber Technology, where Arimid fibers ( found in bullet proof vests ) is combine with carbon and glass fibers in varying proportions and precise angles to get more trampoline effect and absorb vibrations resulting in more energy transfer to the ball and greater distance. What this really means is, longer barrel lengths and lighter bats resulting in maximum allowable performance. This bat has the power, performance and feel that you are looking for. Swing like an Olympian - add a Lisa Fernandez bat to your arsenal! ComBat -For Players/By Players. Free Shipping

Pros: amazing bat! there's nothing else to it. My daughter has been pounding the ball in the last tourny. Incredible results! tons of pop!
Cons: maybe the price, but you will definately get your moneys worth!

Pros: This is the most underated bat on the market. My daughter preferred this bat over the Phenix. It is hot.
Cons: I thought it took a bit longer to break in but it was worth the time.

Ask QuestionMy daughter has a 2 year old bat the same as this one. Is there any difference between todays bat and her old one
Asked by bryan on Jan 18, 2012
Most bat manufacturers tend to stick with what works. From year to year they are consistently trying to upgrade durability & performance while staying within the ASA guidelines. This particular bat will be very similar to the older model in performance.

How does this bat compare to the 2012 xeno? of the two which would u spend your money on?
Asked by Blue on Dec 18, 2011
Couple of big differences and similarities. The Xeno is a 2 piece all composite, the Combat is a one piece all composite. Both have huge sweet spots, and nice balance, and awesome pop! So depending on if she prefers a 1 pc VS a 2 pc. Both will perform well.

I have a 10 ye old who is 5'3" and weights 140.. she has a 31 20 right now. should I stay with a 31 21 or love her up to a 32 22
Asked by bcj on Dec 15, 2011
To be safe, since jumping her up 2 ounces is a lot. Personally, I would keep her in a 31-21 and get her used to the extra ounce that way.

my daughther is 13yr play in a 14u league she is 5"2 WAIGHT 130 STRONG UPPER BODY what would be the right bat for her.
Asked by ruth on Dec 04, 2011
It is really just a personal preference, the size I would look at going with would be around a 31" the weight just depends on the player

Whats the real difference in this and the Combat Bruin? I need to get one or the other for my daughter. Thanks!
Asked by Moose on Oct 23, 2011
The Fernandez has a slightly longer barrel than the Bruin.

How long is the break in period
Asked by tay on Jun 19, 2011
If you take about 100 to 150 hits of a tee (starting at 50% power then gradually increasing), the bat should be good to go. It will continue to break-in throughout the first few weeks you use it, but he 100 or 150 swings of a tee will help.
