Pros: This bat is awesome. Has a very large sweet spot and the ball seems to fly off it.

Cons: not having it

This year DeMarini has once again outdone themselves with some of the hottest fastpitch bats on the market! The new CF4 Insane features DeMarini's Pitch Black Plus Composite which is the tightest and strongest composite weave in the game! This year they have added twice as much Silver Trace, a fortified bonding agent, to make the CF4 Insane stiffer and virtually indestructible. For the player, this means the sweetspot can be taken farther along the barrel. The added Silver Trace on the handle adds strength which maximizes power transfer to the barrel for unbelievable performance! The new and improved Hybrid Performance Grip features a sleek faded color look and a two-piece design for a thin performance feel. The CF4 Insane also has DeMarini's patented Rotation Index which helps remind players to rotate the bat for a perfectly even break-in! This will benefit the performance of the bat by increasing its pop and extending its life. The two main differences between the CF4 Insane and the CF4 ST are the balance and endcap. While the CF4 ST has a more balanced feel, the CF4 Insane is end loaded for those players looking to get the ultimate amount of power behind their swing! The CF4 Insane also features DeMarini's Hub Endcap which pushes the Hub of Energy to the sweetspot of the bat. This means every time you hit the sweetspot, the ball will explode off the bat with an extreme burst of energy! DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The CF4 Insane is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. This bat comes with a Twelve (12) Month Limited Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Bought it for my 12 year old niece and she loves it. From the time I took her to the cages and watched her knock the plastic cover off to four games later, she is absolutely driving the ball! The length and weight is perfect for her and she is getting her hands through the hitting zone faster than ever with lots of pop. Her favorite color is yellow so that makes it even better.

Cons: A little vibration on mishits. Strictly my assessment, however, she says it's minimal compared to other bats she has had (this is her first top tier bat).

Pros: Solid bat; looks nice. Now that it is somewhat broke in it has excellent distance. Expect much more as it racks up hits.

Cons: 2010 CF4 did not require near as much hitting to break in. Compared to other brands it seems like it doesnt need break in...but in reality it does. About 100+ hits in batting practice, making sure to rotate each time, and the bat was performing great!

Pros: Good weighting on this end-loaded bat. We had the 2010 synergy speed and this has more pop on it. Girls actually love the "bumblebee" look

Cons: As a dad, I prefer the 2010 colors

Pros: I got this bat right before I went to an out of state tourny. I was a little worried to use it because it wasnt broken in yet. But there was no reason to be worried! This bat really did its job. I was batting .490 with this bat. The bat has alot of pop, you can really feel the ball just jump off the bat!

Cons: After my 2nd game I noticed a chip in the bat.

Pros: Everything. We bought this bat to give my 14U daughter a little heavier and longer bat. Since using the bat in two tournaments she has hit 6 home runs and almost as many triples. She loves the bat and gets a lot more distance than her one year old Easton Synergy. All the lessons and BP pay dividends when using this bat!

Cons: None. It has been worth every penny.

Pros: I'm an intermediate level player in a Co-Ed slow pitch league. I wanted a premium end-loaded, but light bat. I'm a spray (lead-off type) hitter, who averages 1 HR a year. My first two hits, directly out of wrapper were bombs... BOTH for over the fence HR's. Tremendous pop when hitting the ball, even for non power hitters. I had my team literally BOWING to the bat... Affectionately now nick-named "Bomb-ble bee bat".

Cons: None!

Pros: this bat has more pop than the 2010 CF4. We are very pleased with this bat.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Best I can explain, IF you love the endload of a metal rocketech and the pop of a composite bat, this is the bat for you. This is a great bat IF you are a stronger hitter and IF you are used to an endload. My DD loves it, but she grew up on Rocketech and XENO, this is a combo of both. Break in easy and durable bat.

Cons: This one is retiring on June 1 for a new model with a different construction theory; hope we dont miss it too much.

Pros: I bought this bat for my 12-A daughter about a month ago. The first couple of tournaments nothing seemed different from her old bat, then BAM!!! She went 10 - 14 this weekend with multiple extra base hits, RBIs and runs scored. The ball jumped off the bat. I would highy recommend this bat, but give it a proper break in period.

Cons: Buy this bat and go straight to the cages and get your kid used to the swing of it. Break it in.

Pros: I was using my Stealth Bat, which was very light, I seemed to be ahead of all of the slower pitchers. I went to a softball camp and someone had the CF4 and I just had to have one, I loved it. Once I got it I didn't really like it because I was hitting the ball farther with the Stealth's but now that I have broken itin it hits better than any other bat I've ever used. Now I cant wait to try the CF5.

Cons: I spent 300 dollars not 229. There is a CF5 that I'm jelous of. And it kind of sucks to have to break in the bat but it's totally worth it.

Pros: I loved this bat when I first got it. If you are confused on wether you should get the insane or just the regular -10, just ask yourself how you like the weight distributed. If you like it endloaded go with the insane. It's a great bat, and also if you are a parent buying one for your kid, I would get the CF4 even though there are CF5's there is not a big diffrence and you could save up to a hundred dollars some places. This is coming for the girl who has a CF4 insane and a CF5.

Cons: The whole team wants to use it.

Cons: Daughter has nothing negative to say about this bat. Was skeptical at first but loves it since her first swing

Cons: none at the moment

Pros: I am the coach of a slowpitch Co-ed team, we have lost every game, and couldn't figure out why we were losing by so much. On the advice of a semi-pro player we decided to buy a better bat. We puchased this bat and every single player hits easily twice as far. Rookie or Veteran this bat makes you feel like a pro. BTW ZERO break in time. Hit it over the fence several times during the first practice.

Cons: NONE, with this bat only you can improve...

Pros: Awesome bat!! The first weekend my 10yo used it she almost put one out of the park! Great bat for power hitters!

Cons: Not owning one!

Pros: If you can handle it, the insane edition of the CF4 is awesome. My 12 year old power hitting daughter has the 33 -10 and has been crushing the ball. I think she will hit some out of the park this year! Her favorite bat was an 8 year old Wicked that was dead as a door knob but I could not get out of her hands. When the CF4 came she immediately picked it up and has not looked back.

Cons: If your daughter is not a strong, power hitter you might want to look at the regular CF4. With the Insane Edition, only the best hitters with the best technique need apply.

14350

I've seen some suggest having the bat professionally rolled. What does this mean and would you suggest having it done?

I do NOT suggest rolling any composite bat. It does help break it in quicker, but can damage it and take away from durability. Also, leagues will or tournaments will throw the bat out if they see that it had been rolled

14117

whats the difference between the 2012 CF5 insane and this one?

There is not going to be much of a difference other than the paint scheme

10777

how does this bat compare to the new cf5

Performance wise they will be very similar, the Insane is going to have the endloaded feel to it.

10445

What is the real difference(s) comparing between this the CF5 Insane, the CF5 Insane & CF5 Standard?

With both the CF4 and CF5 insane, what makes them different from the regular CF4 and CF5 is the Insane is endloaded.

8920

I play in a mens fastpitch league. Last year somone brought an Easton Stealth for us to use. He coaches a local college team and he had about 5 bats left over from the season. The bat was Awsome! I never used a full composite and it makes a big difference. My own bats are DeMarini 375 that I purchased here. My question is if I want to upgrade, will this bat hold up over the course of a 20 game season as well as well as the Easton did?

The Insane should last at least that long, if not longer. It is covered by a manufactuer's warranty. Though I should let you know these fastpitch bats are technically designed for girls. Are these bats allowed in your league?

6037

What is a better bat the CF5 or the CF4?

Both bats are very similar. The "Insane" models will have an end loaded weight which are more for power hitters.

5738

Is it single-wall? I play in a fast-pitch league that allows only single wall (alloy or composite).

This is going to be a double walled bat.

782

is this bat legal for high school at -10

Yes. This is legal for girls fastpitch softball in High School.

136

How is this bat different from the 2011 DeMarini CF4 ST: DXCFP Fastpitch? I understand that both are very good bats but I need one that is designed for my swing so what kind of characteristics would this bat and the other be good for? For example: I am a power hitter batting usually at the 4th slot, defiantly not a slapper.

This bat the (DXCFI) will be slightly more end-loaded compared to the 2011 DXCFP, meaning it will be weighted more towards the end of the barrel. It will be ideal for stronger players who can generate the same swing speed with an end-loaded as they can with a balanced bat.

32

How is this bat different from the CF4 Hope?

Both use the same type of construction and composite materials. The CF4 Insane is slightly more end-loaded meaning it will be weighted more towards the end of the barrel. The Insane also features a rotation index on the endcap and knob to remind the hitter to rotate the bat between hits to ensure proper/even break in. The Insane also has different color scheme and graphics. Both are great bats.
