Pros: Love it!! She took it out of the wrapper, used it in one practice then at an international tournament. Four doubles and if the wind would have been blowing our way, 2 would have been out, they fell just shy of the fence. She says it swings light even though it is 2 ounces heavier than what she has been swinging. The ball just bounces off the bat. She has loved every DeMarini she's ever had!!
Cons: None so far!
This year DeMarini has once again outdone themselves with some of the hottest fastpitch bats on the market! The new CF4 ST features DeMarini's Pitch Black Plus Composite which is the tightest and strongest composite weave in the game! This year they have added twice as much Silver Trace, a fortified bonding agent, to make the CF4 ST stiffer and virtually indestructible. For the player, this means the sweetspot can be taken farther along the barrel. The added Silver Trace on the handle adds strength which maximizes power transfer to the barrel for unbelievable performance! The CF4 ST also features DeMarini's Clutch 2 Endcap which increases stiffness to hold energy in the barrel of composite bats. For you, this means even more explosive hits! The new and improved Hybrid Performance Grip features a sleek faded color look and a two-piece design for a thin performance feel. The CF4 ST also has DeMarini's patented Rotation Index which helps remind players to rotate the bat for a perfectly even break-in! This will benefit the performance of the bat by increasing its pop and extending its life. DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The CF4 ST is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. This bat comes with a Twelve (12) Month Limited Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Great pop. No stinging hands. Switched from an Easton Synergy Clarity which slightly stung. Good weight distribution. It is supposed to be slightly end loaded but it swings light. My daughter loves it after moving up 1 inch and 2 oz.
Cons: None so far. This is the first double walled bat my daughter has used so we will see how long it lasts.

Ask QuestionAre fastpitch bats legal in slowpitch games? Will a fastpitch bat hit a slow pitcher ball as far as a slowpitch bat would?
Asked by Roger on Jan 30, 2012
Yes, you would be able to use these bats in an ASA approved league. It would not perform as highly as a slow pitch design though.

why cant you make in baseball
Asked by the siddler on Sep 27, 2011
DeMarini did manuafacture the CF4 for Adult, Senior League, and Youth baseball. Those models are discontinued and the CF5's have replaced the CF4's.

How well does it perform in 30-40 degrees?
Asked by jeff on Apr 02, 2011
It's recommended that you do not use composite bats when it's colder than about 55 degrees outside. If you use this bat when it's 30 to 40 degrees, you probably won't see a big drop off in performance, but the bat will be much more susceptible to cracking.

Is there a difference between this bat and the other two 2011 CF4 ST Fastpitch models?
Asked by Beau on Sep 09, 2010
Structually, they are the same. This one is a -9 length to weigh ratio, the DXCF8 is a -8 and the DXCFP is a -10. There's some minor differences in the background colors, but that is just to distinguish the different length to weight ratios.
