This past season, the Easton Rival burst on to the scene as THE HOTTEST new aluminum bat in baseball. Drawing nothing but positive reviews, the Rival has quickly gained a loyal following. This season, the Rival makes it's debut in softball. The Rival is a one-piece bat made from Easton's exclusive new THT100 Alloy. The THT100 Alloy has 100ksi strength and extraordinary toughness for superior dent and crack resistence. This bat features a stiff flex rating and low M.O.I. which means a lighter swing weight, faster swing speed, and better control. The Rival uses Easton's SST Technology which utilizes a one-piece barrel design with increased balance and control while increasing the trampoline effect of the MASSIVE sweetspot. And by massive, we're talking about THE BIGGEST sweetspot of any aluminum bat in the industry! Combine all of this with the extra long XXL Barrel, and the result is a bat that is made for performance. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, get on the Easton Rival bandwagon today! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. This bat is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: hot with solid feel great for player that needs the length not the weight. think its as good as composite without the cost.
Cons: rings loudly when you hit it.

Pros: Bought this for my 9yr old. Previous bats were $200-$300 composites. This has just as much pop out of the box. The "ping" sound is great! She loves it!
Cons: No performance issues yet. I would like to see a different color.

Pros: Daughter plays 10u. Replaced cracked Miken MV3 with this bat. Seems to have a lot of pop and good for small kids. I like the "ping" sound it makes. Great bat.
Cons: None

Pros: My 9 yr old dd hit a shot into the outfield a couple of weeks ago during a cold day at a tournament in Chino Hills,Ca. The rest of her hits were hard grounders that pinged off the bat pretty fast. We are sold, this is a great bat!
Cons: Nothing yet...

Pros: The ball really comes off this bat with alot of pop. sweet handle for griping.
Cons: Ping noise! This is the only negative I can comment about this bat, and it really doesn't bother me.

Pros: My U12 daughter saw Composite bat break and really wanted an aluminum bat. She is smoking the ball with it. I don’t see any drop off from her composite. I like the loud “ping†when contact is made…sounds like my driver.
Cons: Nothing yet…

Pros: I've been reading alot of bat reviews over the last month or so, and was alittle skeptical how the all said "pop right out of the wrapper" or something to that effect. Well I am a believer in this bat! My daughter is a 6th grader on her middle school team and has used this bat for two games now and no she did'nt hit her first home run the first time she used it...struck out actually. however the next 8 times up she is batting 500 and hitting the ball hard. She say's she can't feel the ball hit the bat, all the bats her team has would ring her hands 9 times out of 10. So we are both believers, I have registered the bat and saved my receipt etc. just in case but I don't think I'll be needing it. GREAT BAT!

Cons: This bat cracked the first time my daughter used this bat. All conditions were right, no reason for this bat to crack.

Is this a composite bat? Our 12U daughter needs an ASA approved bat that is not composite. She really liked the Easton CV12:SCG1B fastpitch bat but it was composite.
Asked by jc on Feb 03, 2012
This will be an alloy bat. No composite.

how does this bat compare to the popular composite bats currently on the market?
Asked by crowbar on Mar 13, 2011
This will be a very high performing alloy bat. Sure, there are some popular composite bats out there that may perform a little better, but this bat will display great performance and excellent durability. It will also be ready to go right out of the box, where as other composite bats require a break-in period before they reach their full potential.
· Mar 15, 2011
what is the lowest temperature this bat can be used in?
Asked by Cat on Feb 27, 2011
For alloy bats, it's recommended that you restrict their use when it's below about 60 degrees or so.
