Not all wood is created equal. Louisville Slugger leads the industry in wood bat manufacturing. Known for producing high-quality wood bats for all ages, sizes and skill levels, Louisville Slugger continues their storied tradition with a new softball bat, the MSB1. This bat is made from rock solid maple wood grown in North America. The MSB1 uses a J503 turn model with a thin barrel, medium handle and slightly flared knob, making it the ideal design for softball players. The MSB1 features outstanding durability so it will last for seasons to come. Even if you don't play in a wood bat league, practicing with wood bat has proven to be very beneficial. Using wood in the batting cage and at practice will save your expensive metal bat from damage caused by denser cage balls. Also, swinging wood at practice is proven to give players a better sense of the sweet spot, develop stronger wrists, and improve hand-eye coordination. Pros: thin handle , nicely made finish, pretty cheap price
Cons: its a lil too end loaded, more of a power hitters bat, not single hitters

Pros: Great balance, looks like it feels, did i mention great balance... not only did my wife, but i too used this stick for the last few days, and she not being a power hitter did not shy to it. We were able to place the ball where we wanted. Due to the coin we shell for it and the fact the wife took it from me, i will be buying a second one shortly
Cons: ???? do not know yet...

Ask QuestionDescription says ASA approved. When I zoom I don't see the certification. Is it approved for ASA play?
Asked by Josh on Apr 26, 2012
Wood bats do not require the same ASA certification stamp as non-wood bats. The MSB1 is ASA approved.
