Pros: With the new ASA bat standard, this bat comes out of the wrapper like many others (kind of stiff), but after 500 hits it just gets better and better. We have about 1000 hits on it, and it is only getting better.

Cons: 500+ hits to break in

The softball world is in a Frenzy over the new Frenzy 3.0 fastpitch softball bat from Mizuno. The bat used by the Champion Washington Huskies. The research and development department at Mizuno through out the book and designed an all new bat from the knob all the way to the end cap. They started with brand new Black Onyx carbon fiber which allows for more carbon and less resin to provide the ultimate in durability. From there they apply Mizuno's Techfire technology to the Black Onyx carbon fiber. Techfire technology is comprised of three different levels of materials bonded together that make up one single wall. This construction constitutes a single-wall bat that increases the sweet spot over 16%. Mizuno has also added a new Anti-Shock construction which reduces vibration by 38%. Reduction in bat vibration means that all the energy that was contributing to bat vibration is now available to be transferred to the ball. You also now have the option to customize your length to weight ratio with a -8 or -10 drop to increase bat speed and control. Pounding the ball to all fields has never been easier. Fielders don't stand a chance as you take the ball to all fields with power. Add Mizuno's cushioned grip and you have an all new bat for the serious softball player. Mizuno demonstrates once again that "Your Passion is Our Obsession." The Frenzy 3.0 is approved for play by: ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. Free Shipping.

Pros: I play Mens Fastpitch and having the right bat is huge! I shopped around and have always like the Techfires that Mizuno has put out in the past. The Frenzy has a huge sweet spot and has plenty of pop to get the ball out of the infield! I love it and can't wait to take it up to Nationals in Reno !

Cons: I wasn't used to the type of grip that they put onto this bat but after a day of swinging it , it's really comfortable!

It's about 40 degrees here in Michigan. Is there a temperature I should not have my daughter use it?

Typically, manufacturers recommend that composite bats not be used when it's colder than 55 degrees. The composite material will be more susceptible to cracking in these lower temps.
