Pros: Big pocket. Good glove for a player learning to play 1st base. Good price.
Cons: Tuff to break in. Cheap laces.

Ask QuestionCould adults use this glove comfortably?
Asked by Coach Mac on Nov 11, 2011
The hand opening and finger stalls are big enough to accomodate an adults hand. However, the mitt itself is smaller than average for an adult. I would recommend a 12.5 or 12.75 first base mitt.

My son is 9 years old and on a select team, I have seen other kids smaller than he is with a First base mitt. Would this be ok to play with?
Asked by JDD's Dad on Sep 17, 2011
For a 9 year old, I would recommend a first base mitt designated as a "Youth" model. These are identified by the word "Youth" in the model name and they are made to fit the smaller hand of a young player and are easier for a younger player to close. A few I would recommend are the Mizuno GXF101, Akadema AHC94, Rawlings R115FB and Easton RVY3000.
