Louisville Slugger has always prided themselves on creating performance ball gloves for all levels of play. This year's Zephyr series combines the quality performance of a TPS glove with an unrivaled feeling of comfort! When you first stick your hand into the Zephyr, it's hard to believe that such a soft feel could come from a ball glove. The secret lies in the X-traSoft Palm Lining and the Cool Max finger linings which wick away perspiration while creating a pillow-like feeling all around your hand. In addition, a light nylon mesh backing provides for easy closure right out of the wrapper! Louisvillle Slugger is a pioneer of exclusive female-fitting gloves that feature narrower finger stalls and a smaller wrist opening for a snug fit and better control. Add to that the adjustable velcro wrist strap and pinkie lock technology, and you are assured to have the perfect fitting glove! Not only is the TPS Zephyr comfortable, but a genuine steerhide leather palm and dye-through laces give it extra durability for a long-lasting shape. Bruise-Gard Technology also ensures a sting-free playing experience! Louisville Slugger: Performance Products for Championship Performances. Free Shipping!

Pros: This glove is very nice. It definitely has a nice feel and no sting from fast pitches.
Cons: Took a little while to soften up.

Pros: I bought this glove for my 10U Catcher this past Summer for the Fall season. She had no problems breaking her in. She's catching a girl that throws 51 mph. It has been wonderful so far! I hope that it lasts for the new 12" balls that she'll be catching this coming Fall 2012.

Pros: Was looking at the Diva catchers mitt, But was thinking it could be a little small and quickly outgrown. Purchased this glove for my daugther a 10U catcher. Seemed a little big at first and she could add a batters glove to snug it up. She loves the glove and should get long use of it.
Cons: None yet.

Ask QuestionDo you think it would be a good idea to get this mitt for a 13 year old?
Asked by lizzard on May 15, 2012
The average size catcher's mitt for a 13 year old fastpitch softball player is 33 inches. That doesn't mean a 32.5 inch model is a bad choice. Many 13 year old players who prefer a smaller than average mitt for quicker ball transfer prefer a 32.5 or even 32 inch model. The Z201 is definitely a good quality mitt.

What size catching glove for a 13 yr old girl playing 14U? She is 5'6" and weighes 117 lbs. Long, skinny fingers.
Asked by djjonas on May 01, 2012
The Louisville Slugger TPS Zephyr Fastpitch Series would be a perfect size for her age.

Based on her age, a 32 or 32.5 inch catcher's mitt would be recommended

Will this handle a 12" ball for the 2012 12U Fall?
Asked by Chooch28 on Feb 20, 2012
This Louisville Slugger TPS Zephyr Fastpitch Series Z201 glove will still be a great option for a 12" ball.

Is this a good size for an 11 year old moving to a 12" ball?
Asked by duecesdad on Jul 30, 2011
A 31.5 to 32.5 inch mitt is average for an 11 year old usinga 12" softball. This should be a good option for her that she can use over the next few seasons.

does it have thick padding
Asked by bob lewis on Apr 07, 2011
Yes, out of all the Louisville Slugger gloves, this glove is going to be in the top half of having the most padding. This glove has Bruise-Guard Padding that really helps the thickness of the glove.

What is the difference between the Z201 and the Z203 glove? My daughter liked the Z205Y but it was a youth size glove and too small for her. She is a fairly big 12y/o
Asked by spiritcatcher on Mar 13, 2011
This glove (Z201) has a light weight, nylon mesh back. The Z203 did not have this feature. The mesh back will help to decrease weight while maintaining the same durability and performance. I would go with either a 32.5" or 33" mitt for your daughter.

do you think this is too big for my daughter who is 10 yrs old> First year catching
Asked by klasdad on Mar 07, 2011
On average a 10 year old will use around a 32 inch, so no that shouldn't be too large a glove for her.
