Louisville Slugger creates some of the highest quality gloves on the market and their new Hybrid Defense 9, or HD9, series is no exception. The HD9 series follows one of the hottest glove styling trends over the past few seasons: the mesh back. The zero-gravity performance mesh back used on the HD9 is the same quality as used by many professional players. The advantage to zero-gravity mesh is that it provides a quicker break-in period and ultra lightweight feel compared to average gloves. The leather used on the rest of the glove is professional grade oil-treated steerhide that is tough and rugged, yet soft and comfortable. Inside, full grain leather linings help the glove keep it's shape and give players a phenomenal feeling. The HD9 series uses dye-through lacing to ensure that this is one of the most durable gloves you'll ever own. This 12.75 Inch model features a trapeze web design and is preferred by outfielders. With a conventional open back, this HD9 series glove will have you playing at the top of your game! Louisville Slugger: Performance Products for Championship Performances! Free Shipping!

Ask QuestionWhich is a better glove, the XH1275SG or the FL1300CC?
Asked by mtn.lion6 on Apr 22, 2012
Both the Louisville Slugger TPX HD9 Series and the Louisville Slugger TPX Pro Flare Series are excellent gloves that use high quality leather. The FL1300CC will have a deeper pocket and the XH1275SG will feel lighter because of the pro mesh material.

Is this good for a youth player 11/12 years old??
Asked by Lukluk on Aug 16, 2011
This glove might be a little big for someone that is in that age range. Most outfielders in college and high school use 12.00-12.50 inch gloves. Most infielders use 11.00-11.50 inch gloves.

I am 14 years old and I am going to be a freshman next year, This summer in high school baseball the coaches suggested I switch from a 3rd baseman to a left fielder so I need a glove that would better work as an outfielders glove rather than an infielders glove, I am 6 ft and I weigh about 145. Should I get a 12.5 inch or a 12.75 inch glove and would this glove work for me?
Asked by Mike on Jul 13, 2011
This glove would work for you. Most outfielders use a 12.00-12.50 inch glove. There are some that use a 12.75 inch glove. This is a glove that is very durable and you will have this glove for a long time.

im 12 yrs old and i want an out field glove thats a good size for outfield but not to big were it falls off my hand, and im thinking this glove or the 11.50 mod trapeze ,allso for pitching
Asked by get ur hand out of my glove son on Jul 12, 2011
I would not recommend this glove for you. This glove is going to be too big. Most outfielders use a 12.00-12.50 inch glove. Those are the size that I would recommend to you.

i hate a soft gloves ,,the tpx omaha flair was to soft .would u say the leather on this feels more like a pro flair or omaha
Asked by batwing on Jun 23, 2011
I would say that this glove will have be a little harder than the Pro Flair. This is a really good that is one of Louisville Slugger’s newest gloves on the market. They have really great durability and should last a long time.

Is this good for softball?
Asked by bryan on May 03, 2011
This glove is made for baseball, but it is big enough that you would be able to use it for slow pitch softball. The only problem you might have is that the pocket might not be big enough for a softball.
