For over a century, Louisville Slugger has been making quality baseball equipment for all ages and skill levels. This season, Louisville Slugger introduces a series of gloves designed for the player who is crossing over from youth baseball to more competitive levels. The Omaha Select Series is perfect for players that have outgrown their youth mitts but still aren't varsity level players. That doesn't mean they have to sacrifice any quality though. These gloves are made in professional patterns using lightweight, oil-treated cowhide leather that gives players a superior feel and fit. With dye-through lacing, these gloves are as durable as they are comfortable. Inside the glove, players will find Bruise-Gard Padding that protects the hand against sting and promotes confident catching. All of the gloves in the Omaha Select Series feature a conventional open back and professional-style web designs for outstanding control in the field, on the mound, or behind the plate! What color exactly is this glove? and would this work well for a freshman playing strictly outfield?
Asked by cards25 on Apr 28, 2012
The color of the OSL1250 is black and orange. Yes, the trapeze web and size is ideal for a freshman outfielder.
· Apr 29, 2012
would this glove also be best in softball slow pitching for mens 20years and up?
Asked by dustin on Mar 05, 2012
The OSL1250 can develop a deep pocket that will accommodate a softball. If I'm playing outfield in slow pitch, I generally prefer a 13 inch model. A 12.5 inch model like this one, I would use in the infield.

Can this glove be used for a 12" softball, my daughter plays Fastpitch Softball, I thought this glove would be ideal for her what is your opinion?
Asked by David on Jan 17, 2012
This glove would be fine for her. It is a baseball glove, but should have no problem catching a 12 1/2 inch softball. It will form a very nice pocket if you use oil and shape the glove when you first recieve it.

When will this glove be available for right handed players? How would this glove work for my 12 year old? he plays third and outfield.
Asked by rsaucer on Dec 14, 2011
We should be receiving more right hand throwers in mid January. This is an outfield model, so I would go down a half a size if he is playing 3rd base as well.
· Dec 15, 2011
I'm 14 and play 3rd as well as outfield is this a good glove for it
Asked by buellton on Oct 20, 2011
Generally speaking it would be good for outfield, possibly a little big for 3rd. But some like bigger gloves at 3rd, matter of preference.
