Ask QuestionWhat is the best method for breaking this glove in? I have the 12.75 bar web design. I've heard soaking it in water and tossing a heavy ball works best. True?
Asked by Harper on May 10, 2012
Three words... Repetition, repetition, repetition. Just repeated use is the best way to break in a glove. Do not soak it in water. This may help break it in quicker, but it will also jeopardize the integrity of the glove and cause the leather to break down faster. Do you think this would be a good glove for softball as well?
Asked by kyle on Apr 10, 2012
Absolutely! The extra deep pocket of the Louisville Slugger TPX Pro Flare Series would work just fine for softball or baseball play.

I tried on a 12.75 flare at sports authority and it seemed liked it was smaller than a normal 12.75. It almost seemed like a 12.50, so is the 13.00 more like a 12.75?
Asked by Red Mtn. baseball on Apr 03, 2012
I've heard from multiple people that they think the Pro Flare gloves fit just a little snug and slightly smaller...and I would tend to agree. A 13 inch Pro Flare sounds like a good choice for you.

how does this glove compare to the pro preffred or wilson a2k
Asked by hollywood12 on Sep 18, 2011
In my opinion the Pro Flares are a little stiffer than the a2k and the pro preferred but the overall quality is the same. All three are great gloves.

which is the best of the three leathers horween, kip,or steerhide
Asked by hollywood12 on Sep 06, 2011
Horween is a tannery in Chicago where Wilson receives their leather from. They produce high-quality leathers and most are made from steerhide leather (and the FL1300CC is made from their steerhide leather). Kip and Steerhide will both be on par in terms of durability, but steerhide glove often tend to hold their shape a little better over time. Steerhide will be a little stiffer and heavier than Kip as well.

Is this more of a slow pitch glove or baseball?
Asked by Reid on Aug 05, 2011
The FL1000CC can be used for both baseball and softball play in the outfield. The extra deep pocket is perfect for softball and baseball play in the outfield. Because of the trapeze web it should only be used for outfield play.

Would this be a good slowpitch softball glove?
Asked by T-Dog on Jun 29, 2011
At 13 inches and with a flare design for a larger catching surface, this would be a good slow pitch glove.

what pocket do you get? single post web or trapeeze?
Asked by shinny on May 09, 2011
With this glove you receive a trapeze web. The pocket in this glove is going to be a little deeper then normal.
· May 09, 2011
which is better in aan honest opinion, this one or the sliver slugger gray one and why
Asked by Shinny on May 09, 2011
It really comes down to which color you like best. The design and type of leather used will be the same in each and the ultimate decision is simply which color scheme the player likes the best. Both are high quality gloves.
