In a place called Nocona, Texas, premium ball gloves have been designed and handcrafted since 1934. For generations, the people of this small town have dedicated their lives to provide the best baseball product product, made right here in America, so that you can use it with great pride and confidence. The new Buckaroo Black Series features patterns made specifically for fastpitch softball players. These gloves are made from a combination of kangaroo leather and cowhide. All leathers used by Nokona are top-grain and hand-selected to meet Nokona's rigorous standards. This combination of leathers creates an incredibly lightweight feel that makes these gloves easy to control. Pound for pound, kangaroo is one of the toughest leathers in the world as it has a tensile strength 2 to 3 times higher than cowhide. This leather is ideal for the fingers of ball gloves as it is smooth and durable. The Buckaroo Black Series is about halfway game-ready, but will require some break-in, as all high quality gloves do. With a closed back design and adjustable wrist strap, the Buckaroo Black Series will provide the control necessary to dominate the softball field for years to come. Nokona: America's Pastime. Ask QuestionI'm 6'-1" and playing slowpitch softball - primarily outfield, but with some occasional work at SS/3B. What would be optimal size to cover that range of work (note I have pretty average size hands)? Also - is the Buckaroo the best Nokona line to stick with? From comments it seems easier to break in, but not sure if there are other pros/cons.
Asked by Rich on May 16, 2012
The Nokona Buckaroo Black Softball Series: BS1300CBLK is a perfect size for a player who is mainly in the outfield. The Buckaroo or Bloodline Series are the best, however the Bloodline series will be stiffer and more difficult to break in.

If I like the size of a 12.5 rawlings glove, would this be similar in size? My hands are a little small i suppose as I am 5'6" and am moving to ss in slowptich softball this year. I like the 13" glove I use for outfield except that the pinky side is a little flimsy due to the size of my hand. Any suggestions?

The BS1300CBLK fits pretty true to size, but if you have smaller hands it should be a good option. It is a very high quality glove that will hold it's shape very well over time. It think this would make an excellent utility glove for slow pitch softball.

Would this be a good glove for baseball? Thanks
Asked by John on Mar 25, 2012
This is designed for softball, and will fit a little smaller and have a deeper pocket. I wouldn't recommend anything over 12.75 inches for baseball.

My daughter complains about gloves being to heavy. Is this model lighter for women?

The Nokona Buckaroo Series will be average in weight compared to other models of similar size and quality.

Looking to replace my daughter's Mizuno glove. She's 13, stands 6 feet tall, with big hands. Usually plays 3rd base, outfield, pitcher. Her Mizuno glove is 13 inches. Wanting a glove that will last through high school.

You are on the right tracking looking at this glove if durability is on your mind. Nokona's are well-known for being some of the most durable gloves on the market. Sounds like a 13 inch model is the best bet.

Is this the correct size for playing the outfield for mens softball play in three leagues like the glove also made in usa in Texas.
Asked by chris on Mar 03, 2012
The Nokona Buckaroo Black Series: BS1300CBLK is a 13 inch model with a deep pocket! The most common glove sizes used for outfield range from 12 inches up so this could be used for any outfield position!

My daughter has an AMG650-CW. Is this the same glove? Hers is getting pretty worn and needs replacement.
Asked by Chris on Feb 12, 2012
The BS1300CBLK does have a similar design as the AMG650KCW but uses the black cow hide for the back of the glove.

Would this glove be too big for my 14-year old daughter who plays outfield? Looking to get her a glove to get her through high school and heard excellent things abut Nokona.
Asked by pat on Oct 11, 2011
Normally I wouldn't suggest this size for a 14 year old. However, Nokona gloves run slightly smaller than most other gloves. Since she is an outfielder this would be an excellent glove to carry her through high school.
