Pros: Well-built glove. Very sturdy, very pretty, made in USA, made of kangaroos (a fine conversation starter for those who like to hobnob at games). If it weren't for the below issues, I'd probably give it a "5".
Cons: The wristband. Way too small and flimsy for an expensive glove. I'm a prototypical first baseman (6'5", 220) with smaller-than-average hands for my size. This is a *large* mitt, yet the velcro wrist strap is too small to close over even my dainty wrist. Worse still, the cinch strap is flimsy and doesn't keep tight. This leads to an unstable mitt with chafing, exposed velcro. I don't think this will be a good mitt for bigger guys.
The SBM100K first basemen mitt is part of the Nokona Classic Series. Nokona’s Kangaroo leather is a love affair for players who desire a lightweight, highly supple leather that is strong for its weight. In the SBM100K the Kangaroo leather is put in combination with cowhide leather. This combination has made this the premium choice of leathers that has caught on with both baseball and softball players alike. The finger and thumb loops inside provide full control for the fielder. This is a 14.00 inch first base mitt with an open web and an open back. This glove was hand made in the USA in Nocona, Texas. Nokona: American Made for American Played! Free Shipping.

Pros: Nice weight, deep pocket, Very easy to break in.
Cons: Didn't like the feel of the wristband. Otherwise great glove

Pros: Nice glove, pretty big, I have big hands and it was still pretty comfortable.
Cons: It is very hard to make game ready, still pretty stiff after 4 months of catch.
by Abe - May 11, 2012
Pros: Huge, light, and amazing workmanship.
Cons: I also had the problem that the wrist strap wasn't big enough to get around my wrist and still let me close the glove. I'm 6' 220, with pretty small wrists and hands. Exchanging for a different model.

Pros: This glove has a great pocket and enough length to snag low or wide throws to first. The combination of velcro and a strap at the hand entry point make it very stabile on the hand.
Cons: It took an extremely long time to break in to a point where it was playable in game situations - a full season and a half, with constant sessions of catch and treatments of glove oil, etc.

Pros: a very well made glove works great once broken in nice deep pocket if you mold it to that
Cons: hard as anything to break in took me 3 applications of treatment and few practices. recmd getting care kit

Pros: Best softball FB mitt I'm aware of. Tremendous quality. The kangaroo back lightens up the big glove. And I LIKE the fact it takes a while to break in. Very old school. Once its ready, it's yours for life. One of Nokona's very best offerings.
Cons: None. This is top drawer, first quality. But, not for people who want an off the shelf soft, floppy glove.

Pros: Quality leather
Cons: shallow pocket, hard to break in
by RB57 - Apr 18, 2012
Pros: Well made glove with a nice feel.
Cons: Had it 4 months constantly treating it and it is still not broken in yet.
by RD - Oct 14, 2012
Pros: As soon as you put this glove on you can tell the quality of the glove. VERY well made. I don't understand what some are saying about the wrist strap, I like it and I think it fits fine. I've been playing 1st base for 30 years and this might be my best made 1st base glove yet, but read the cons first before buying.
Cons: If you are looking to use this glove right out of the box YOUR NOT !!!! I cant see being able to use this glove for a while. VERY stiff even after oiling it twice and shaving cream once and using the break it kit. Spend the extra money and buy the kit, its a must for this glove !!!!

Pros: High quality material, nicely padded.
Cons: Needs extensive break-in, very stiff, wrist strap is too short, velcro area too small and short.

Pros: great size, made in the USA!!!! and the service was excellent!
Cons: wow, is it stiff. may take all season to break it in.

Pros: Love the Kangaroo leather.....light weight and durable.
Cons: I hate the shallow pocket.
by Rookie1stBS - Nov 07, 2012
Pros: I love the glove. I love the pop sound when you get hard ball thrown to you. It makes a great target to throw to. I keep it clean using the Nokona lotion.
Cons: Besides the most known issue with the glove being stiff. But other then that. Awesome glove!
