Pros: Ordered glove on Mon. it came on Wed. When we opened the box my son's eyes bugged out. Beautiful glove. Son will be 13 in the fall and it's a little stiff but I have oiled it and can tell it's already softer. Looks like a really nice glove.
Cons: No cons so far other than it being a little stiff. I think it's a 50/50 break in so give it some time.

Ask QuestionWould this be a good combo glove for a 5'2 135lb 12 year old lefty to pitch and play outfield with?
Asked by TG on Sep 05, 2012
The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Pro Taper Series would be the perfect fit for a utility player.

I'm 14 playing ball and will be playing school ball but I don't know what size to get. I'm pretty short (5'2), so you can tell my hands aren't very big. I don't know what size to get. The glove I have now is I think 11.25? So what size would be good in your opinion. Also what's it mean by "gamer"?
Asked by Robert on Sep 05, 2012
The size of the glove also is determined by your position as well as your age. For a utility player an adult 12.00" would be the recommended size. For exact sizing, check out our glove coach: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/. Gamer is simply the model name Rawlings has given this particular glove.

Even though I am 18 and this is a youth glove could I still use this glove For outfield? I have average sized hands. Thanks.
Asked by Jon on Aug 10, 2012
The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Pro Taper Series: GG1225G is a Youth model that is better suited for a outfielders around 11 or 12 years old. In my opinion, it will fit too small for an 18 year old with average size hands.

My son is almost 13 and small for his size, especially his hands. He plays a lot of center field. I'm looking for a glove that he can use next spring but also for a few years beyond. What do you recommend for a glove size?
Asked by Ron on Jul 10, 2012
The 12.25" would be a perfect size for a 13 year old outfielder with smaller hands.

Could this glove be used for slow pitch softball?
Asked by Firedirch on Nov 23, 2011
This glove may be a little small for softball. Most outfield players in softball like a 13.00" glove or bigger.

The leather grain looks nicely textured in this picture; is ita good representative sample of the actual gloves or just a nice "stock" picture? Thank you in advance for your time. Brett Curtas

All our product images are taken in-house by staff members in our Creative Department. When we receive a batch of gloves in they will actually pull one from the shelf to snap a few photos of it. This is one of the benefits of having a skilled team in-house to image our products.

What is the difference between this glove and the TH48 besides price.
Asked by jfoiii on Aug 11, 2011
The biggest difference is that the GG1225G is going to use better leather and that is going to make the glove last longer. The TH48 is more for a youth and the GG1225G is more for an adult.

Can an adult use this glove or is it for youth? I am 6'2" and don't have huge hands, but they are not small either. Do you think this will work? I would like to break it in and use it to play catch with my son who is eight, and then give it to him to use when he is 10 or so and can handle it. Thanks!
Asked by Gary on Jun 05, 2011
This should work for you. It is not manufacturered as a youth glove and I have average size hands for an adult male and the glove fits pretty comfortably.
