The Gold Glove Gamer Series is being taken to a new level with its new and improved pro soft leather, pro lace, moldable padding and authentic Rawlings pro patterns. As with the Gold Glove Award, this glove is for the player mastering defense. The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series features patterns just like the pros wear, designed for each position: solid webs for pitchers, shallow pockets for middle infielders, and open webs for outfielders and infielders. The deer tanned cowhide palm and leather finger back linings help for strength, comfort and durability. The patented laceless finger Holdster with index finger pad adds comfort and protection. The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer is perfect for anyone trying to improve their defensive play and who needs a tough durable glove that can take the hardships of playing defense. The moldable padding feature allows the player to shape the pocket based on the demands of his/her position. As with all Rawlings gloves, this Gold Glove has been made with the highest grade of quality and hand crafted leather. The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series gloves are targeted for the elite players that need a game-ready glove or a glove that may require minimal break in time; approximately 50% factory / 50% player break in work - slightly less break in time than the Heart of the Hide Series. Pros: great outfielding mitt i made alot of plays with it and it broke in easy and very durable
Cons: not for small hands
by rob - Nov 01, 2011
Pros: Minimal break-in. Comfortable and pocket is deep, able to catch fly ball on the run with ease
Cons: None

Pros: Good glove, snags most anything it the outfield. If you take the correct angles to the ball and catch it the correct way, the glove WILL NOT drop the ball. Exellent glove, probably worth more than the price!

Ask QuestionWould this be good for a 15 year old who is 5'6 and plays outfield?
Asked by Warriner on May 23, 2012
We recommend a 12.50" to a 12.75" glove. The Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series would be a perfect fit.

Is the leather strong heavy and durable? Is it thick leather as well?
Asked by Ben on Mar 13, 2012
I wouldn't say it's a thick or heavy leather, but the Gold Glove Gamer Series is made with pro soft leather with is above average in durability and strength.

Would this be a good glove for a 15 year old outfielder?
Asked by Jdilla on Feb 27, 2012
At 12.75 inches, this is a good adult outfielders glove. 12.5 and 12.75 inch gloves are the most common size for High School, College, and MLB outfielders.
· Feb 27, 2012
is there a 12 inch model for this exact glove?
Asked by gman on Dec 26, 2011
Check out the GG12XTCG. This will be the closest option.

the person I would buy this glove for has really long fingers. What glove would be best for this.
Asked by gamel on Nov 28, 2011
Any glove not classified as a youth model would work fine. Manufacturer's realize and keep in mind the fact that players have a wide variety of hand and finger shapes and sizes.

What, really, is the difference between this glove and the Heart of the Hide Series: PROTB24B? The overview of this glove states, "As with all Rawlings gloves, this Gold Glove has been made with the highest grade of quality and hand crafted leather." If the leather is no different, then what is the difference?
Asked by Andrew on Oct 16, 2011
The Heart of the Hide is actually higher quality leather than the Gold Glove Gamer series. It will be easier lighter and easier to break in than the Heart of the Hide, but the Gold Glove will not be as durable as the Hear of the Hide.

Getting a new glove, dont know if i should get this or the SL127TB sandlot
Asked by mlb on Oct 11, 2011
Both are very similar. Really the main difference is the look. The Sandlot has more of the antique worn in look than the gold glove.

would this glove work for mens slow pitch softball im a fielder
Asked by the machine on Aug 16, 2011
Yes, this glove would work for a men’s slow pitch softball glove. The pocket in this glove might be a little smaller, but for the infield it should be fine to get the ball out of the glove a little faster.

I am a 13 year old center fielder and i am 5'11". i have above average hands for 13, so is this a good glove for me?
Asked by pj on Jul 24, 2011
I think it would be a good fit for you. At 13, a 12.5 inch glove is most commonly recommended, but if your hands are bigger than average and you want a glove you can use through most of High School this would be a good option.
· Jul 25, 2011
I play center field and i am about 6 feet tall. I am wondering if this would be the best buy for my position
Asked by Pete on Jul 23, 2011
A 12.75 inch glove is a great size for outfielders at the High School, College, and Professional level. A lot of finding the right glove comes down to the personal preference of the player (color, webbing, softness of leather, open vs. close back, price, etc...) This glove is a good choice though.
· Jul 23, 2011
Would this glove work for slow pitch softball? I play every position, mostly infield and pitch.
Asked by pwr on Jul 14, 2011
At 12.75 inches, this would be a great utility glove for a slow pitch softball player. I play mosty outfield and a little infield in slow pitch and I use a 13 inch glove (but I used a 12.75 last year and liked it a little better)
· Jul 18, 2011
would this glove be good on a smaller hand?
Asked by chedda on Jul 13, 2011
This glove could work for someone that has a smaller hand. This glove is going to have normal hand and finger stalls. The reason that it might work is that the wrist has a strap on the it. This will help if the person using the glove has smaller hands.
· Jul 14, 2011
would this glove be good for an 11 year old outfielder?
Asked by Lshot on Jun 28, 2011
I would recommend a smaller glove for an 11 year old. Most infielders use 11.00-11.50 inch gloves. Most outfielders use 12.00-12.50 inch gloves.
