Pros: This glove is intended for outfield use, feels great on the hand and is easy to use. It practically catches the ball by itself. It has a broken in feel and can be used in a game straight off the rack. I would say it feels about 60 to 70% broken in when bought. The leather is very supple and the lacing is strong and of the highest quality. With care this glove should last many years.
Cons: The price of this glove is over $200, pricing it off the market for some. I do not suggest spending that amount unless you are a serious player and intend to use the glove regularly. If you want an open back glove, this is not it. This glove has Rawlings Fastback or closed back design with a hole to poke your index finger through for those who prefer wearing/using a glove that way.
For years, Rawlings has been the most prominent name in major league glove usage. This consistent standard of excellence is due to their leadership in innovative design development, verified by their numerous patented features, as well as Rawlings strict adherence to manufacturing only top quality gloves and mitts. The renowned Heart of the Hide leather features unmatched durability. This new Heart of the Hide leather is tanned softer for that game ready feel with the durability and consistency that is expected from a Rawlings Heart of the Hide Glove. The softness of this new leather allows for less break in time. These gloves feature Rawlings patented Dual Core Technology that has position specific break points in the glove pattern so you can outperform the demands of your position. This glove features full grain leather binding and laces for strength and durability. It also has a deer tanned cowhide palm and finger back linings for strength, comfort and durability. The best glove technicians in the world designed the pro pattern design. All patterns are endlessly field tested and constantly improved by hundreds of professional and top amateur players. Pros: Best glove I have ever owned, I play Centerfield for my Highschool team, and I catches everything! And I'm not just saying that. It's great and looks great! Glad I'm a lefty so I don't have the whole team trying it on!
Cons: That I have waited this long to buy it!

Would this be an ideal glove for womens fastpitch softball? I tried it on and liked the feel but according to this the mizuno GCF1301 is a better softball glove. I never tried the mizuno glove before. Do you have any recommendations?

This will be more on what feel good to you. This is a baseball glove but that doesn't mean you can't use this as a softball gloves. If this glove fits you then you can use it. Mizuno makes a good mitt also. I suggest looking at them to.

Besides the color what is the difference between this and the PROTB24B?
Asked by Joe on Jun 22, 2011
The PRO601DCC features Rawlings Dual Core Technology which has position specific break points in the glove. The Dual Core Technology in this glove will help it break in to the specifications of outfielders (larger pocket). The PROTB24B does not feature the Dual Core Technology.
