Pros: perfect glove for anything. I am a second basemen and center fielder glove works great for both. I am 13 years old.
Cons: none
by Kimokauai - Oct 21, 2011
Pros: Well made glove for the price. Glove is fairly flexable, won't take to long to fully break it in. Glove is true to size. Glove work well for both infield or outfield play.
Cons: Glove has alittle more padding in the palm than I like, but that might be because its still new.

Pros: I bought this glove figuring i was going to play middle infield like i normally do. when i got it i went to play and it was already nearly broke in even without any oil or conditioner
Cons: The lace broke in about a month. The web got spread real far before it broke and the fingers got real floppy

Ask QuestionWill the leather used in the Sandlot series hold up over time as well as the gold glove series tumbled soft leather?
Asked by JB on Feb 15, 2012
The Rawlings Sandlot Series will hold up to the same quality standard that all Rawlings gloves are made to meet.

What is the biggest difference between the SL127TB and GG601G? They look to be similar in build but the sandlot is cheaper, is the leather affected from the "aging process"?
Asked by Lets Go O's on Feb 14, 2012
The both are the same price. The SL127TB is a modified trapeze web and the GG601G is a trapeze model.

Would this glove work well for middle infield and outfeild or would I be better of getting the H2L1275
Asked by bobby on Dec 02, 2011
The 12.75 might be a little big for middle infield. Most common size for those positions is a 12-12.50" glove.

My son is starting his freshman year. I know someone selling a heart of the the hide model that is older but unused it is model PRO303-4PM he wants $140 is that better than the sandlot series glove for the price?
Asked by Blake on Oct 10, 2011
The Rawlings Heart of the Hide Series will be couple of nothces above the Sandlot Series in terms of overall quality. Brand new Heart of the Hide gloves retail for around $200. If you can confirm that the PRO3034PM this person is selling has not been used, then that's a pretty good deal. Even though the PRO3034PM is discontinued, there are still a few websites that have them in stock retailing for around $200. I've even seen used Heart of the Hide gloves similar to the PRO3034PM selling between $125 and $160. Personally, I would lean towards the Heart of the Hide.

The Heart of the Hide is one of Rawlings top of the line models.

Any idea how the Rawlings SL127TB compares to the Rawlings GG601G for break in time?
Asked by Mike on Aug 31, 2011
The biggest difference is going to be the antiquing process of the SL127TB to make it look like an older glove. They both are going to be one of the best gloves that are available under $100.

I was wondering if this is the right size glove for a 16 year old outfeilder?
Asked by Matt on Jun 30, 2011
A 12.5 or 12.75 inch glove would work well for a high school age outfielder.
