This season, Mizuno looks to make a definitive statement in the fastpitch market with the release of the Frenzy Super Lite! This bat combines unbelievable pop with rock solid durability and a comfortable lightweight swing. Made from Mizuno's Black Onyx Carbon, the Frenzy is designed for maximum composite performance. A larger new sweetspot extending from the "R" to the "Y" is unsurpassed in length and forgiveness, ensuring that the Frenzy will have players dropping bombs this season. Mizuno added more resin throughout the barrel as well, enabling the already tough Frenzy to be more durable than ever before! A new lightweight end cap combined with the Frenzy's balanced design give players a lower swing weight and better bat control. The transition zone between the barrel and handle employs Mizuno's Anti-Shock Construction that significantly lessens vibration and improves the feel of the bat. This feel is also enhanced through the use of Mizuno's high-quality cushioned grip that gives players ultimate tack and a comfortable swing. There's a reason why major universities are switching to the Frenzy. Find out for yourself. Mizuno: Be Yourself. Only Better! This bat is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: My daughter is a slapper and can crush the ball with this bat as well. No problem with sting for her - and she plays in some pretty cold weather. It's her go to bat for sure.
Cons:
by Payton513 - Jun 01, 2012
Pros: I've heard it stings your hands. Which it does when you flat out hit with it. But I'm a slapper and it never stings my hands. So it's a perfect bat for slappers!
Cons: Stings when you flat out hit with it!

Pros:
Cons: My 10 yr old daughter and her team mates all say it stings their hands when they hit. She refuses to use it and went back to her old bat.
by Cory - Dec 10, 2012
Pros: Bought this for my daughter last spring. The bat has a great grip. She has never hit better. Most of the girls on our team use it now and they are hitting the ball great. My daughter is consistently putting it into the outfield. Not sure if it's the bat or just her swing. I'd like to think it was her swing. She is the smallest girl on our team and bats cleanup. You'll have to decide. I would buy again.
Cons: Bat sting? Most of our little girls complain of bat sting from the other bats but not this one.
by Softball Dad - Apr 24, 2013
Pros: I bought this bat in 31/19 for my 9yr old daughter and she loves. It has good pop and feels good in her hands with no stinging. I highly recommend it.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: None

Pros: Looks beautiful! Good form produces good hits, no matter what bat you use.
Cons: The bat stings when my daughter hits the ball. "Oww, you're hurting me!" Pleeezze.
by softballdad - Mar 11, 2012
Pros: only used it in the cage but 10 year old daughter seems to be real happy with it see how it holds up to a full season of travel ball.

Ask QuestionMy daughter needs a softball fastpitch bat, but we are unsure what size to order. She is 12 years old and is about 5' tall and weighs 135 lbs.

We would recommend a 32" model of the Mizuno Frenzy Super Lite: MZFSL Fastpitch bat for a player with those stats. For future sizing guidelines, check out our Bat Coach tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Will this bat be legal with the new regulations for next year with USSSA?
Asked by ShortstopStud on May 31, 2012
The Frenzy Super Lite MZFSL does not have the new USSSA stamp. However, it is legal until September 1, 2013. After that time, the new USSSA stamp will be required.

I just got this bat, is there a break-in period?
Asked by Softballstud on May 25, 2012
Yes, composite bats like the 2012 Mizuno Frenzy Super Lite requires a break-in period. We recommend taking 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss. Rotate the barrel about 1 1/4 inch each swings. We also recommend to not use the bat in batting cages that use yellow dimpled balls.

I play on a 16U travel team and I'm a diverse hitter (power, slapping, bunting...). I'm just wondering if this bat will be good for power hitting?
Asked by softballplayer on May 19, 2012
The 2012 Mizuno Frenzy MZFSL is a great bat for power hitters. This bat has tons of pop and balanced feel.

Are there any cold weather concerns when using this bat? Its 40* outside today and my daughter has a game. We just bought this bat for her to use.
Asked by broke dad on Apr 10, 2012
It is really recommended not to use any bat too much in temperatures that are 50* or lower. While, you can still use the bat a little, I would really recommend limiting the use as much as you can.

My question for you is is this a good bat for a first year player she is actually pretty good as i can see she has a good natural swing i want her to have a good bat to keep her confidence up
Asked by bambam on Mar 13, 2012
A lighter bat like this one is a great choice for a first year player. It is a bat that will have good pop and she should have a lot of success with it.

Im a slap hitter for a 16u team and I saw this bat. Is this bat good for slap hitting?
Asked by baller55 on Mar 07, 2012
With a drop 12 length to weight ratio, this is an excellent bat for a slap hitter. Definitely a good choice. Slap away!
· Mar 07, 2012
Is there break-in requirements on this bat? Is there a temperature limit in colder climate?
Asked by Tao on Feb 22, 2012
This bat is a full composite bat, and does require a break in period. We suggest hitting about 150-200 hits with a soft toss and start out at about 40% power and increase as you get closer to the 150 hit mark. Make sure you rotate the bat about a quarter of an inch after each hit to ensure an even break in. Also, since it is made out of composite material, it is not recommended to use this bat in temperatures colder than about 50-55 degrees.
· Feb 22, 2012
Is this bat composite
Asked by B6 on Feb 18, 2012
The MZFSL is a full composite bat. And for anymore composite bats please contact our customer service at 1-866-321-2287.

13 YEAR OLD TRAVEL BALL PLAYER, NOW USING A 33 " 21 OUNCE COMPOSITE lOUSISVILLE. hER SWING IS NOT FAST ENOUGH. SHE IS A BIG GIRL AT 57 " AND ABOUT 145 LBS. SHE SHOULD BE POUNDING IT. NEEDS HER OWN BAT, WOULD THIS INCREASE HER SPEED BUT NOT BE TOO LIGHT FOR HER BUILD?
Asked by KMOMTHOMAS on Jan 24, 2012
I would say that this bat seems like it would be a good fit for you daughter.
· Jan 24, 2012
My daughter 12U batting coach says she has quick hands and hits balls most girls would not but her hits are not hard. Makes consistant contact but not sharp hard hits. What would you recomend to get the pop. super light or 4.0. or any other
Asked by CSI on Oct 17, 2011
The Super Lite would be a great fit for a quick swing speed.
· Oct 17, 2011
I am looking for a fastpitch bat for my daughter. She doesn't have the quickest swing so I was looking for a bat with an 11 or 12 drop that has a good sweet spot and pop. I know the bat doesn't make the player, but I wanted your opinion on this Mizuno vs some of the other popular bats with the characteristics that I am looking for.
Asked by Randy on Oct 07, 2011
The Frenzy is a good lightweight, balanced bat with great swing speed. The lenght and weight of the bat wil be determined by your daughters height and weight.
· Oct 07, 2011
This will be a great lightweight bat for your daughter. The length and weight of the bat will depend on your daughters height and weight. The Anderson KFP and the Easton Synger would also be good choices.
